Couldn't agree more.

And Deb, I didn't know about that DVD, cool, and you listed 2 of my favs from Pull:)

Amen, folks are too busy on here fightin about how many broken limbs Tim Tebow will get this year, if its all Obama's fault, whether we really landed on the moon or if it was in the movie theatre, what the hell that 5th dentist was thinking when he/she disagreed with the other four about sugarless gum.
Don't get me wrong - All great things to shoot the shit about but, and its a free country and all that ,but this is MR! Ought to be revelling in debate about the genre down the smallest detail.

Folks ought to be given a test about the genre , when they join, and then another in six months. If the aptidue / appreciation hasn't approved- vacation time!

ahh yes, been there many times. The Jimmy Barnes discography is woefully incomplete... ;) Great place to go and get general reviews on a lot of the older cds if you are trying to track down who has done what with whom and when in the world of AOR/melodicrock/hard rock cds.

I know I've learned a heck of alot on this board. And have added some great music to my collection from recommendations from some great folks here and especially Andrew. Not to kiss his ass or anything but IMO Andrews got great taste in music and I find his taste very similar to mine. 8 or 9 times out of 10 I agree with him or his reviews. I remember back a couple years, reading his TMG review and found myself nodding my head all the way though, couldn't have agreed more on his take of the cd.

LOL, this board has helped me show-up my little brother more than once. He, who thinks he is the music/rock wizard of the family, has been floored sometimes by stuff that I just throw out there in conversation that I have learned/heard on here about all things rock. :D

I'm well versed in 707...I just don't particularly care for that kind of stuff...I like my music with more balls...take a listen to 707s 'Megaforce', then Frehley's Comet's 'Calling to You'....tell me what you find...lol.

Although I DO like Tod Howath's voice....

I lean towards the 707 version of the song Megaforce/Calling to You, but a lot of that would have to be Kevin Chalfant's vocals. Prefer his version of the above mentioned song also, although he has never recorded a studio cut of it to my knowledge.

ahh, forget Southgang...just put in Butch Walker solo. Why he never did lead vocals in Southgang is beyond me--he's the better singer by far.

Butch is awesome, but Jesse did have a pretty good set of pipes, I liked him as a singer too.

Saw them at a tiny little local place, when they first came out and instantly fell in love with Butch and his playing... Good Lord, I needed a cigarette after watching him play. Yowza!

They came out at a bad time and quickly faded. Good band, but Jesse was too pretty & Butch was smokin' hot and, at that time, the trend was shifting into grunge and the dirty look. Hence, hair metal/hard rock was sadly on it's way out of the mainstream. A lot of bands around that time should have been huge and there were also many who had no business being huge, yet there they were. The mainstream audience is certainly a fickle bunch.

Thank God for the Internet!

they had their moments. Butch Walker solo doesn't sound much at all live Marvelous 3 these days--and for that matter, rarely even plays M3 material.

I don't think this sounds much at all live Marvelous 3...just pop-rock

Mel, they were very impressive live. I had never heard of them before stumbling upon them inside my local, frequent haunt. I was at the outside bar hanging with my peeps and heard a bit of them when they were inside the band room. I went inside to see who it was and didn't come back out until the show was over, no matter how much I was sweating... My friends thought I got lost! LOL! I recall that they hung out afterward talking, taking pics, and signing stuff.

That is awesome, you're lucky, would have loved to have caught them live! I have a recording only of one of their shows and they did a cover of Boston's "Rock & Roll Band", it sounded really good!
