Robert Hart was the best singer Bad Company ever had.

Paul's undoubtedly the better singer now, but I much prefer Roberts Hart's voice circa Cries and Whispers.

The 90's, MTV-era version of "Bad Company" was never really Bad Company at all. Comparing the voices of Brian Howe and Robert Hart to Paul Rodgers is a joke, plain and simple.

Paul Roger did as good with Queen as anybody with a voice as unsuited to the material could--and it's a testament to his talent that it came off as well as it did.

Still wish they could have convinced John Farnham to come out with them. Rumors are that he turned it down. That would have been something to see.

Yeah, Paul did a great job with that gig; I was able to see two Q+PR shows, and they were both fantastic.

I always thought George Michael would have been perfect for the job...he could have handled pretty much any of their tunes. Too bad he has so many "off the field" issues...

I still think JSS is a great fit for Queen. If you haven't seen JSS's Queen dvd of over 40 songs, its good stuff! Killer job even on some of the rarer songs.

JSS did a very good job on that. His version of These Are the Days... was just killer. He sounded better on that than just about anything I heard him do with Journey.

I took people's advice and went to the Bad Company concert at the Northern Lights Theater last night. I'm so glad I did. The venue is a terrific place to see a show. It's an intimate Vegas style theater that seats only about 500 people. There is not a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are great. Paul Rodgers was in fine voice last night. He is very interactive with the audience. There's not a lot of glitz and glamour, just some great rock music. I would definitely recommend it.

I found this interview that was published by OnMilwaukee.com. It really shows what a great and humble guy Paul Rodgers is. Here's the link:

Company of Strangers was the most consistent Bad Co. album....that being said, I prefer Brian Howe to Rodgers or Hart.

I've been a Paul Rodgers fan since his days with Free. For me, Bad Company without Paul is just a cover band just like the only Journey I'd bother to go see would have to include Steve Perry. Other singers aren't bad, but they're just not the original. I find it interesting how great singers like Steve Perry and Paul Rodgers both known as the "voice" in their respective countries were heavily influenced by American R & B singers of the 50's & 60's. To me that's what makes them special.
