VH1 MTV VMA Awards....

Postby S2M » Mon Sep 13, 2010 12:00 pm

This show is a complete joke....Whatever happened to just standing at a mic stand and signing a freakin' song? Every singer needs to be twirling on some sort of contraption while a cavalcade of freaks gyrate and do interpretive dance in the vicinity of the train wreck that is masquerading as actual music.....oh yeah.....football is on NBC. CLICK!

Haven't watched this abomination since I was really young. Easily 12 years ago since i tuned in. And it wasn't that good then, but at least there was still some respectable acts on there.

Taylor Swift performed a very moving and thoughtful song about the Kanye incident.

Lincoln Park was great. Cool stage lighting and setup where ever they were outside.

They're always bad, except last year had Pink and the Michael Jackson tribute and Gaga was good. This year nothing spectacular, except I really liked Eminem. Lincoln Park I enjoyed just because there was some real rock energy in the show finally.

I think it was the MTV Music Awards where I first saw a plethora of stars dying on stage, not nearly as clever, witty, or edgy as they thought they were. MTV is one hell of an arrogant network, and it shows in everything they do. Even the movies they put out have an arrogance about them, like they take for granted that the audience will just die laughing at their thin, sparse humor.

The MTV VMA's are a ridiculous joke these days, full of staged shock for the sake of controversy. If anyone takes anything that happens on that show seriously anymore, they are clueless.

MTV hasnt put on a good production since a long time ago... but CHER looked amazing for 64!!
She put the new ladies of video to shame just by being there... was switching back and forth between football and
the award show...

I did too, but then I liked that duet of EM's and Rhianna's first time I heard it on the radio.

The show is a joke.
The music industry is a joke.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

Look past the fish net and see how fucked up her skin is. The only reason her face doesn't look the same is because of makeup.

No drug issues there, I'm sure.

I thought for sure it had to be fake, but apparently not!

http://style.mtv.com/2010/09/13/2010-vm ... ress-real/

That is disgusting, and no way could she sit next to anyone wearing that thing -- it would get stuff all over the seat. Did she, or was it only worn for a few minutes followed by a change?

I wouldn't want to steak my reputation on a stunt like that.
