The direction of a flushed toliet, or sink has NOTHING to do with Corolis Effect...the latitude change over the diameter of your toilet of sink is nowhere near big enough to elicit the Coriolis's effect. It all depends on how the water is introduced into the bowl. Thus, if the water enters the bowl from the right side, the water drains clock-wise. Left, counterclock-wise.

Amazing what people believe...

What do you consider essential must own AOR albums, like a top 50? or even a top 20. Do you have a list, or a webpage with them. I would get them all, because I'm really missing out.

You can scrub Hysteria from the top. I haven't listened to that since JE was a prick to me.

You wanna talk about it?

In what way? I think I said it all a long time back. Doesn't worry me now, just don't want to revisit it when I play music.

Nothing serious.Did not know you had talked about it.Just saw the bit about JE and was wondering. No biggie.
All the best.

Australian Kiss? WTF is that? :)

I suspect it's a term for a kiss 'down under'. Though why 'you can kiss my arse!' needs a special euphamism, I'll never know!

Aussie shitters don't have water "introduced"...they generally just flush from all around the rim. Amazing what some will presume without experience.

I don't need experience...water is introduced from all around the rim here, too...but it originates from a specific direction....right-clockwise, left-counter-clockwise....

What are some North American words that Australians think are funny/weird?

LOL, have to tell our Togs vs Bathingsuit story. Our Australian aunt/uncle and cousins were here for a visit several years back and we took them siteseeing in Banff and to the Hot Springs pool and when we were in the changing rooms, one of my young cousin's mentioned the word togs and my daughter who was only probably 10 or 11 at the time asked me what a Tog was, LOL I explained that's what they call their bathingsuits. Later at lunch we all got a chuckle out of it and I soon realized that Togs isn't the funny word, that actually us North Americans calling them bathingsuits was the more ridiculous one. They are neither a suit and you're swimming not bathing. LOL swimsuit will do.

......and, why do so many of the world's biggest and nastiest looking spiders reside in Aussieland???

I have to say, "Fanny Pack" has me giggling every time, and someone talking about falling on their fanny has me in hysterics. Y'see, 'fanny' doesn't mean what you silly North American's think it means ;)

Well, "fanny" doesn't mean the same thing in the US as it does in Australia, not wrong, just different. My brother lived in Sydney for a couple of years and he told me about that one-I still use the word but I always think of that everytime I say it.

Nevermind the probability that no one outside of our community knows about it, Andrew, but didn't you tell the brothers that Dokken's last album has the very same name?

Actually, when the album was being touted in August of '09...it was titled Lightning Strikes Twice...perhaps Drew misspoke, and that is still the name.
