They have more rocking tunes for sure, but who the hell knows them? Their album lacks any real hooks or memorable choruses and after listening to the album twice, NONE of their songs stuck in my head. To me, the first sign of a winning song is when I'm whistling or humming it later. I love all
members of this band, but this was not a great album. People want to hear shit they know and recognize when they hear a band live. Journey has 25 or more songs that everyone knows and love. Just saying!

If Sammy would go all 5150 with the Setlist, it might be a different story. Let him throw in 'I Can't Drive 55' and, combined with the VH tunes it would be game over.

Hey, you're preaching to the choir brother! I LOVE me some Sammy! It they mixed Joe's tunes, Sammy's and Van Halen's tunes 50/50 with their new stuff... THAT would be a damn concert for the ages!!! :D

YEP....I would be there..but Sammy would be the headliner...so Journey would be the opening act

You got that right! And deservedly so.

Well...In the last year I saw Sammy/Chickenfoot at the Chicago theatre with 2500 there. I saw Journey at the amphitheatre with disgusting weather all day and there were 25,000. Now who opens for whom?? Just saying...  I love them both and really don't care who would open!! Ain't going to happen anyway!!

Well, for starters, they would first have to dump that name and Advertise as Hagar and Company doing a 5150 tour featuring the music of Van Halen.

Ummmmmm that would be Van Halen

the boys are not going to let Sammy out on the road with the 5150 tunes without the band...if they do they are not

very good businessmen.

I kinda agree......a little too vanilla for Chickenfoot. Somebody mentioned Journey/Night Ranger, agreed, IMO that would be a better fit. And Mr Big http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omic-ZxMdo8 would be a better fit with Chickenfoot. Talk about mega talent on one stage. Would looooove to see them all jam to even one song together, would that ever be cool! Pardon, think I just drooled a little.

Screw that Triumph and Journey would be much better

After the last Rik Emmett Interview, I'm really starting to believe that Triumph is officially finished (again).

:( Really? What interview?

I'd like to see Journey/Def Leppard again. That was a kick ass concert.

That wouldn't entirely shock me. Both bands took this year off, and when they hit the road again next summer it will be five years after their first tour together.

I am definitely not interested in seeing that pairing again. It was OK for the one tour, but there are so many other options why go back there. It would be like touring with Styx or REO again. Not that I hate any of those bands, but it is enough already. Please no more of those.

Do you think Def Leppard will be willing to open for Journey? I doubt Journey is going to do a co-headliner tour but I don't see Leppard agreeing to be an opening act, not when they just had two bands opening for them on their last tour.

See personally I enjoy the Chickenfoot album very much. Also just in pure stage presence after seeing Sammy the crowd would probably be falling asleep watching Arnel and the boys.

Probably the most commercial (and imo best) song on the album. Allegedly the band wasn't going to include it, because it sounded a little too radio friendly. Aside from maybe 3 or 4 tracks, the cd does nothing for me. Would be cool if Bonham joins the group. Would be even better if he went back to Foreigner.
