Where is all the Unreleased Material???

Postby Irwin M Fletcher » Sun Aug 22, 2010 11:03 am

Its a shame that VH never released a CD of unreleased material, since VHIII, there has been 3 songs which were done for BOBW! Think of all the stuff that is lying in the 5150 vaults, loads of old songs from the Roth days including the early 1977 demos, the early sessions for 5150 with Roth, unreleased songs from OU812 and F.U.C.K, the 2nd album they recorded with Gary Cherone, demos recorded with Mitch Malloy and not forgetting the songs recorded with Roth in 2000/2001!!! Its a shame that EVH was in poor health but surely Warner Bros cud have put sumthin out between 1999 and 2010? after all, VH are one of the biggest selling bands of all time!!! Any comments?

Yes, there is a comment. EDDIE!!! Warner dropped VH for a long while too remember, before now being Warner/Chappell, plus Eddie dd'nt want to put anything out. I doubt you'll hear anything, hes wiped Sammy and Mike from VH's past and wants to focus on the current incarnation.

They dont need to release anything.I have seen stuff all over the internet regarding VH and tunes I havent even heard of.Most of its usually been used for other songs.Like "I Want Some Action" an unreleased track off 5150 became "Twist The Knife" for a Steve Lukather album.

I am sure you can find a ton of stuff that never saw the light of day. From my understanding, the hardest stuff to find are 2 songs from the III album.

No kidding.I have some stuff that never saw the light of day and I can see why lol.The only thing I still wish I had was a tape of Patty Smythe singing a song that eventually became Best of Both Worlds. It wasnt that bad other than the quality.
