I don't think I would go that route, but I would NEVER judge a parent for losing it in a situation like that! It's his child and he was frustrated. I think we'd all do anything for the safety of our children. It's tough! My daughter is not bullied but girls have just said things that hurt her and I get this feeling I want to tell them off! But I know it's best for her to handle it. She needs to learn those skills. But a tortured or special needs child is a whole different thing!! I'd never judge! I don't think that a parent should lay a hand on someone elses child. That would never be ok with me.Don wrote:What about the 'James Willie Jones' approach? Getting on the bus and threatening to kick the shit out of the bullies who were picking on his Short Bus child or threatening the Bus Driver for allowing it to happen it, could any of you see that being an acceptable action in handling the issue?

Saint John wrote:Your approach sucks. I'll share the male (correct) way of dealing with shit like this. I dated a girl for almost 7 years and helped raise her daughter. When she was seven she came home and said Brody was "grabbing her privates on the playground." This little motherfucker was given one chance. His parents were informed, the teacher was informed and the principal was informed. Meanwhile, like many times before, Rachel was reminded that no one, under any circumstances, touches, grabs, talks about or fucking thinks about your privates. With God as my witness, we practiced the correct way to punch, how to get your entire body into it and which part of the fist makes contact with the target (the first 2 knuckles). That little hillbilly fuck made the mistake of doing it again and was just about knocked out. His eye was a nice deep, dark purple and almost completely shut. Needless to say, we were called into the principal's office and amid threats of expulsion, I took full credit for the proper corrective measure that was used. Like most ovary-toting beings, my ex was pretty pissed ... but she got over it. That's how you handle bullying/shenanigans.
I only just figured out what you meant! On my phone I missed that ninja pic!bluejeangirl76 wrote:StevePerryHair wrote:Parfait brought all of his "bullies" back using the bully threadAs parfait has said though, he IS a natural target

WTF? I have ovaries and I would have handled the situation exactly the same way you did! The kid had a warning-one warning is all he gets. If we'd stop being so damn worried about EVERYONE's "rights" we wouldn't have these problems. You touch a girl like that the only right you should have is the right to get the shit kicked out of you so you won't do it again.

Angel, Angel, Angel... Buying a set of pickled ovaries from the local oriental store doesn't count, She-Man. But stay positive; I'm sure someone is going to buy you, instead of the dozens of cute labradors and Parakeet in the store, one day. You just hang in there!
Onto the subject of touching. It was just a decade ago that I was 10, and I gotta tell you: we touched a lot (especially while playing a game called truth, dare or percent.) I think it's completely natural for both boys and girls to test boundaries and experiment with the other sex. Even more so today, as sexual inuendo and what was once considered graphic, is now a part of everyday life. To give out a moralistic piledriver to some kid who simply doesn't know any better really doesn't sound like the right way to go.

I don't recommend we encourage his kind to procreateMelissa wrote:parfait wrote:Onto the subject of touching. Sorry but you playing "show me your pee-pee and I'll show you mine" is not the same as someone groping them in a hallway or on a playground. Like I mentioned before, I find it interesting someone who is not a parent or has never had to be in a parental role should tell anyone else in that situation that it was handled wrong. I would think if you had a little girl that happened to, you'd think a little differently about it.
