All I have to say about all the comments is Whatever...I NEVER berated people for not liking anything I've linked. I only questioned the indifference and laziness of those individuals who have either dismissed the lesser known bands as untalented also-rans, compared to the powerhouse(debatable) bands that have 'made it', or the other faction that won't even stray one c*nt hair outside their own bubble of comfort.

And you are right....I do have a certain tone in my posts. Too effin' bad. That's how I get my point across. Don't like it - oh well. I'm not very PC. Don't take it personal.

One last thing...in order to know you don't like something you've had to have tried it....anything less is a lazy affront aimed at dismissing whatever the topic is and calling it less than....

....stayed tuned for my MR High School Superlative Thread....

Mob Mentality....gotta love it.

The fist part of your post is the exact reason that I'm generally rude on here. It just doesn't pay to be nice, but I have never thought that you were rude and/or condescending when posting your shitty music.  You like it, you fight for it and I have always thought that you poked people to try and get them to listen to it. And I found that method to be brilliant.

Wrong, I've checked some of them out, if I'm not at work, I will sometimes click on them. We may not agree on a whole lot Jana, but one thing I can say you aren't is close minded.

LOL, aww Michie, bless your heart. That's cuz we have very similar taste in music, my motown sistah! :D

Why should anyone here worry if someone checks out their links or not? I've posted more than my fair share of utter shit, and not got hung up on it if nobody says anything.
Just put it out there and what will be will be.

If it's total crap, which it usually is, the silence will tell that tale. If people actually start commenting on the thing, then maybe you've got something there.

It's also very simple. No need for drama just because no one else has the same pisstastic taste in music as you do.

Question: Did you sleep your way through the service ranks? I think you did because you've totally missed the point. Please re-read my posts. And if you need some sort of remedial reading tool like Hooked on Phonics, or help with an ESL, feel free to apply.

LOL I have picked up music from here, maybe not what S2M wants, heavy obscure melodic rock. I'm more alternative, Deb, and this is a melodic rock site. Though, You know, me and Depeche Mode, etc. But I get info all the time on here re new albums of old bands that I bought more music on or even bands I didn't own music on from 70s 80s 90s. America tips from Emwhatt, Moody Blues tips from GB, etc. I did try out some of yours. also. But I tend to post links for British/Irish alternative music.

Have to say I agree with Dan, lol. S2M's one of the most passionate
music fans I've ever met. Next to Rip Rokken that is . I don't
click on all his links either, so I'm "lazy" too, but I'm not going to
get my panties twisted over being called "lazy" when there are
WAY worse things to be called, especially on here of all places

No need to re-read your posts, the one you are quoting from me is just my usual unsolicited slant on things with nothing to do with anything beyond my own musings on life.

Well, you know what - that's what makes you you. I don't mean it in a bad way, just that it is what it is. It does make for entertaining reading at times, I'll give you that. I don't necessarily think anyone expects anyone else around here to change, but you're usually one of the first ones to tell people they are flat out wrong, regardless of the topic, that's where the push-back comes from.

Mob Mentality....gotta love it.

Hardly.

It's just that sometimes, your approach, quite frankly, sucks. That's why people have always argued with you here. This is not that big of a dramatic deal. No one formed a 'mob', just having a debate, as usual. And if saying it makes me a great big old meanie-pants, then I don't give a damn. I can live with that. I know it isn't true.

Now, I'm off to check out those links that Deb has a few posts back. :D :D

Yes.

An old soul is the last thing you would expect to find inside Justin Bieber. But all it takes is one listen to the 15 year-old soul-singing phenomenon to realize that he is light years ahead of his manufactured pop peers. After posting dozens of homemade videos on YouTube in 2007, where the multi-talented Bieber put his impeccable spin on songs from artists like Usher, Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder, Justin racked up over 10,000,000 views purely from word of mouth. Seven months after Justin started posting his videos online, former So So Def marketing executive Scooter Braun flew the then 13-year old singer to Atlanta, GA to meet with his elite colleagues. As if Justin's natural singing talent wasn't enough to impress Scooter's inner circle, Braun knew Bieber was also a self-taught musician who plays the drums, guitar, piano and trumpet. A virtually untapped well of natural artistic talent, Justin Bieber is primed to be a solid force in music for many years to come.

This kid has more talent in one hand than Soto and Martin combined. How many hits does Soto's free concert in a park in Europe have? How about Martin's?

I don't know why Justin is used on here as a comparison, anyway. His demographic is teens and tweens. They are buying up his albums not adults. He is very talented for his age, 15. Here he is on the piano in his video You Smile, which he co-wrote the song. Kind of a bluesy song for his age group. The beginning of the video will show you who is buying his music, beautiful young teen girs, so can't compare it to older acts. Justin has a good voice. He reminds me of Michael Jackson type music at the same age.

Soto and Martin were teens at one time, too. It's just that no one really gave a shit ... at least not on Beiber's level. This kid's got a lot of talent, man. Soto and Martin are talented, but not like The Beib.

American Idol and the rest of the shows should make it mandatory for contestants to be able to be proficient with at least one instrument. Just because people can mimic others with their voice shouldn't be the only requirement. Even Animals can do that much.

I'm quite sure rarely does anyone listen to my links. LOL

Song-wise -- and other visual nonsense aside -- I think "After The Rain" is a solid record. Moreover, the playing on it is excellent. Bobby Rock is a world-class drummer, Paul Mirkovich is an inventive keyboard player/pianist, and Brett Garsed has to be one of Australia's best-kept secrets...phenomenal, phenomenal musician.

Checked out the new song and it's good. Not sure about the other samples I've heard, but I'll likely check this album out.

Question (Andrew?): when this release was initially announced I believe there was talk of it including ATR demos and a live album. Any idea what happened to that? I was hoping that would come to fruition...
