Exactly. Like anyone associates the height of Steve Perry, or Steve Perry in general, with the fucking 70's. What a complete moron that guy is. I bet when he was a kid his parents used to draw him on the milk carton.

Not to mention Don Johnson...sigh! He doesn't scream 80's he was just good to look at.

One of my favorite Andy Taylor songs was featured on Miami Vice....... When The Rain Comes Down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_5UFPYkiUw LMAO was listening to this one on my IPOD at work a few weeks ago and was totally busted...... one of the drilling engineer's came to my office and I was rockin right out, shoulders groovin and all.  Funny as hell! Seriously no way to sit still on this one.

:( Sadly no, I'm bummed, first time in 2 or 3 years TSO isn't playing here. Only 2 dates in Canada this time, one east and one west (JSS).......and Vancouver is a 12 hour drive away, too far.

PS: Stellar album in your AV!

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch...

Mark has a CD collection of like 500 CDs....one of the people that was mentioned in ANOTHER VH1 show - this one was about "80s One Hit Wonders" - was Thomas Dolby.
I went thru his CDs; came across THIS....haven't heard it in years ~ LOVE it! 8)

Like your list. There is just something so cool about this song though. Don't exactly know why I have always liked it so much, but I do. Never knew a Leah, so that is not it.

A true one hit wonder tune.

Would love to hit a seat sale, but I've also got no vacation days left............my last 2 unbooked days are being eaten up by playing nurse to my daughter next month when she has all 4 of her wisdom teeth surgically removed.

Some great tunes there. A little nostalgia for me, my five seconds of almost fame once removed. The song Ah Leah by Donnie Iris was written for my sister in law, whose name concidentally is Leah. She was right smack dab in the middle of all the 80's music scene. Boy, the stories!

good enough. Vital Signs might be my LEAST favorite Survivor album though. It was either very good or very average. That one was good.

Everybody seems to love that song but me. I always thought it was exceedingly average for them, and not surprised at all that it didn't make an album. Better than some of the stuff they are releasing now, but I think that speaks more for the current quality than anything this song has to offer.

That said, 2:38 in that video is just plain scary. JBJ looks like a male Barbie crossed with Cher.

 LOL, I never actually watched the whole thing until just now, but yeah that's a wee bit of makeup there. :o Some good old shots of him and Richie in that clip though. :) LOL, total topic detour, but just kills me how he's gone all hollywood with the manscaping when he started in movies. This metrosexual thing cracks me up, waxing the chest and everything (lol although BACKS are a must).......... I like that shot of him at around 1:35, he's Italian for pete's sake, if you're a man be a man. :? Guys that wax or shave their chests or armpits is just wrong IMO.

Wasn't that song from a comedy movie eons ago.......called Disorderlies or something like that?

I was summoned to this thread, didn't see it, thanks Dan lol. But yes, Donnie Iris is a cousin of mine through my Aunt who just passed away recently. One of his albums titled "Ellwood City" is about my hometown and we see him frequently around here. We have a big festival every year in these parts and he usually is the lead attraction to the community and he comes and plays for the town whenever he's in town. He's a great guy and usually see him in the local bar once in awhile.
