Wow, i'm only on song 6 of this cd but every song has been fantastic and i personally didn't care much for the older stuff...have it all but never listen to it. I'm actually shocked at how good this cd is, didn't expect much from listening to the older stuff.

then you should love it---as I thought the first two songs varied between average and worse. The 2nd half is quite good however.

This is normal for Yulog. His enjoyment of music is inversely proportional to the actual quality of the music. :)

I just love this cd..its not heavy but just loaded with tons of melody and great background vocals, I could be wrong but I'm guessin this is going to be on Andrews top cds of the year list.

with the way he is gushing over it, I'm expecting nothing less than a 99% on the review. I think it's a bit patchy, but I think ALL of the UC cds are patchy and leave me pretty cold lyrically in places. Marcie Free is one of the best singers out there and will raise anything a level or two, but as I have said before--being a great singer automatically doesn't make you a great songwriter. A great singer can take a good song to greatness, but a bad song with a great singer is still a bad song.

As of right now, I'd rank the debut and Waiting for the Sun (the Kelly Hansen album) above the new one. It's a grower, but generally about what I expected--which was a mixed bag.

Meh, relatively boring from the few songs I heard from this thread.

All the aggrandizing pity heaped on the singer here really turns me off too. It's a musician, not a friend, family member, or acquaintance. I don't care if she was a spoiled rich kid or a down in the dumps hard knock life type. Either I like the music or I don't.

I'm with you, man. While I find the songs to range from ok to pretty good, I just can't take a band seriously when the lead singer removes his genitalia and has a whole new set of female plumbing put in. This guy/girl must have mixed up the pieces to Mr. and Mrs Potato Head as a child.
