Thought that he was superb, consumate frontman, high energy and has found a way of singing the songs in a slightly lower key at times which still conveys the energy and feeling of the song and certainly no complaints from me. Backing band was decent and all in all a great night and a special experience.
Setlist was:
Caught in the Game
It's the Singer not the Song
High on You
Is This Love
Didn't Know it was Love
I See You in Everyone
Dream Too Far (one of the few dissapointments of the night)
Crossroads Moment
Rebel Son
Burning Heart
I'm Always Here (the other one)
Eye of the Tiger

I'd also cut Bittersweet, She's Nothing to Me, As Is, keep Alive from the Euro bonus, and add Dream Higher. By cutting a few of the Pride of Lions-sounding songs, you end up with a pretty decent Survivor-ish album.

You the man JJ!

No problem with him singing some Survivor stuff but JJ should have the courage of his convictions and talents. CM is a solid effort and he has his own back catalog too!

Their only WORLDWIDE HUGE smash was EOTT...sang by DAVE BICKLER....
The Version the world has heard millions and millions of times was sung by DAVE BICKLER.....
I love JJ too...but Dave singing I Can't Hold Back bothers me just as much...be consistant please...and accurate...I could care less how many times JJ did Tiger live...it is then, now and forever a DAVE BICKLER tune...
As far as the main stream public you would have to ask 200 people before they might be able to name a member of Survivor by name...and NO you can't ask somebody on this board hahahaha....
Not creating a war...please...
I don't have any problem with Jimi singing Dave's Survivor songs, or with Dave singing Jimi's Survivor songs.
Now, if either of them were to try to mislead people into thinking that they were the original vocalist of songs that were in reality originated with the other singer, then I wouldn't agree with that at all.

While EOTT was clearly the biggest smash hit of all by Survivor, "Burning Heart" was pretty huge in it's own right. It reached #2 on the charts, and the only reason it didn't go to #1 was because it had to go against that big charity song "That's What Friends Are For" that was performed by a bunch of legendary singers. But "Burning Heart" was pretty damn huge.
And there were also....
"The Search Is Over" #4 on the charts
"High On You" #8
"Is This Love" #9
"I Can't Hold Back" #13

I agree 100%....BUT....EOTT dwarfs ALL their other tunes combined in respect to Brand, $$$$$$, Licensing, $$$$$, longevity and recognition...no question about it....
When ANYONE describes Survivor they do not say "Yea, the band that did I can't Hold Back"...nope...EOTT...hands down...
But, I still agree with ya...

I would totally agree with that when he was touring under the Survivor name, but now that he's just touring as Jimi Jamison, I don't think it's so essential. There are enough JJ Survivor hits for him to perform.
Unless he wants to always be known as "the guy who used to be in Survivor," I think he should try to balance his shows a bit better. There are a LOT of good, solid songs on Crossroads Moment, and what better way to get them some recognition than to play them to a captive audience who already loves your voice? My guess is that pretty much anyone who likes what JJ did with Survivor will also like what he did on CM.
In a 13 song setlist, he should do at LEAST 4 or 5 from CM.
He also has some good songs on his previous albums. He could easily do 2 from "Empires," and 1 from "When Love Comes Down" (when I saw him many years ago, he did "Rock Hard" from that album, and it went over quite well.)
So that covers about 8 of 13 songs. To keep the Survivor fans happy, throw in "Didn't Know It Was Love," "The Search Is Over," "High on You," "Can't Hold Back" and end the show with "Burning Heart." (maybe "Rebel Son" could be thrown in there too somewhere.)
Then he'd have a set list that focuses on his current career while still appealing to the people who just want to hear stuff from his Survivor days.

And before anyone says that he has to do EOTT, I even have trouble accepting Robin doing EOTT with the real Survivor. That song is Dave's, signed, sealed and delivered...but that's just me.
