New Lambert Song

Postby Saint John » Sat Nov 13, 2010 6:17 am

If I Had You is a great song. I'd heard it in the car a few times and they finally said the singer's name today. Good club-type, catchy tune. I'd like to see the dude go the route of Freddy Mercury (minus the ass slamming) or Steve Perry and really shine on songs without effects, but this song is a pretty good start.

Anyone else like this tune?

There are only a few songs on his CD that I don't like. I like this one although he can get a bit screechy at times. (It's a good one when I'm on the boring elliptical at the gym). I don't like the video however. I think with his voice he excels at ballads.

I like the fact that he sings with out a mouthful of gravel like a lot of the newer singers and his voice has already broken, unlike the teeny bopper singers who's time is going to come for vocal change whether they like it or not.

He's already gone the Freddie route in some ways  I do like that song though! I don't have his album, but I like the songs I've heard!

I like this song. I don't tend to like techno sounding music but I think this could grow on me. He certainly has a quality voice, unlike SO SO SO many of today's artist. I loved him on AI. My only complaint is on AI he had a screechy part to almost every song. I will have to check out more of the songs that this CD is on. Thanks for bringing this up and posting the link.

Wait, whut?

How can you compare a leather tights wearing, harpy of a mantoe to a guy like Merucy? He might have a decent voice and got the cardio to dry hump 10 dancers in a row, but that's about it. And that is not club music; maybe in those clubs where people are pimped out in Ed Hardy and Juicy Couture, but they should be avoided at all cost.

If you want good house music, then listen to the pioneers; Daft Punk. Justice is another good group.

Ehh, but not as good...The "ya yayaya you" part annoys the shit out of me...It's ok, not my kind of music (and I like MAroon 5 because they sound like a 'band'). It definitely sounds like it will be a hit tho. The Lambert train isn't going away

Good CD, it's worth checking out for all those who haven't yet 8) Since it was released last year, the bigger question now is what the follow-up will sound like?

Get the British version of Adam's CD. Check out on that version"Can't let you go "-POWERFUL !!!!! There is also the American album & Japan. Greatest voice I have heard since Freddie Mercury. Now, before you come after me Adam has that range & control in his voice. I am not talking about other over all talents. He has not stopped touring the world yet. I have not seen him yet, but the posts I read from the Orient & Europe say he he is unreal live.

I like the CD too, and think they made great choices on the 3 singles released, along with Strut, those 3 are my faves off the cd. He has mentioned a love for classic rock, and said he was thrilled to get the ok to do Led Zep's Whole Lotta Love. So I would love to see him do a more 70s rock type album next. Loved that duet that him and Alison did to Slow Ride on AI. They kicked ass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiS26RXQo-A

Freddie Mercury is in a league all by himself. No one vocally can ever touch Freddie...not even Lambert. No one in my opinion should be allowed to touch the songs Freddie sang. Not a Lambert fan. Couldn't stand him on idol. :)
