Boise State...

Postby ScarabGator » Sat Nov 27, 2010 11:41 pm

Enough with the BCS talk boys!!!! If you cant get past freakin Nevada then you'd get killed against the big boys. Note to BOise State: join a real conference so you can get used to playing a real schedule...then maybe people will give you more credibility! Boise State in the BCS title game? What a damn joke! Auburn, Oregon, hell even Florida who is down as hell this season would kick their ass! OH! And add a note to TCU: everything I said above applies to you as well.

Remember that one time when Ole Miss kicked Florida's trash?

Just wondering......

PS, the Jazz beat the Lakers last night.

Before last night, shit head, their last regular season loss was THREE years ago....so let's not get too carried away with the disdain. You southern fucks have quite the good old boy network going down there. Lincoln may have abolished your slavery, but your plantation owners...errr...College presidents are still dipping in the slavery pot. Kinda shitty deal when a team is allowed to be ranked by the BCS system, but never really allowed to actually compete in a BCS title game....I really don't buy the weak conference argument, cause it is a slippery slope. Using your logic I think each conference should be re-evaluated every year....and if a certain conference has a down year - they are ranked lower the following year. And while we are at it, let's hold the 49ers of the 80s to a lower standard as well - I mean...they played in the weakest conference in football history. They really didn't deserve to be in all those SB games....Should I go on?

They should let Boise into a title game, and let the chips fall where they may.....if they get blown away, then you can go wack off to your Tebow rookie card. If they win, then they should be invited to a power conference, and you, my friend, can STFU.

I got news for you Scarabgator, Boise St would trash Florida up and down the field, be it on the blue turf or in the Swamp. The fucking kicker missed chippy's...yes I know it's a loss, but Nevada is a good team as well, and they too could kick Florida's ass as well.

I don't even know shit about college football, but all I have to do to poke one gaping logical hole the size of Taylor Rain's asshole in Gator's argument is go back one year: OSU lost to a miserable Purdue team, but was allowed to go on to compete (and win) in the Rose Bowl.

College football is a JOKE. Computer rankings suck and at any rate, any sport where one flukey loss determines the outcome of your entire season is just fucked up. Every athlete who has competed even at the most junior/amateur level knows that even the best have off days or lose to people they shouldn't sometimes. Shitty system.

I agree with Matt for all the reasons above. What a joke of a system. If teams need to be picked by a fuckin computer then that takes out all logic of why the game was built in the first place! Plus, the level of competition weekly is such a joke that it gets over-kill when you see scores of 65-58 weekly  (Plus wouldn't a college playoff be... I don't know.... less CONTROVERSIAL?!) College kids need a good system DESPERATELY to advance onto pro ball and the NCAA can't even provide that.

Thanks to Nevada for removing the Boise fly from the ointment. No Biz being w. the big boys. I do like TCU though.

Hey, I got news for you too. Both Boise and TCU would kick the shit out of Penn State. That's a no brainer.

PS- I saw LOTS of empty seats in Beaver Stadium. WTF is that all about?

And also dickmouths, the reason Boise doesn't join a "real" power conference is because it lacks the academics to do so; at least in the case of the Pac 10. There had been talk of Boise St joining the Pac 10 before Utah and Colorado signed up, and they just lack the academia to join.

That may very well be true, but education in this country is completely dominated by the east coast. Pretty much any list you see in going to start with Harvard, Yale and Princeton. Columbia, Penn, MIT and Dartmouth are also regularly in the top 10.

Dan, I am telling you this because I love you. Fuck you. :) Dude, of course the Ivy League was there first and foremost, as the country was developed east to west. However, after the handful of NE schools you just named, I can come back and name just as many on the left coast. You have MIT, we have Cal Tech. Aside from the Ivy league schools, the west coast is much better than the east coast or the midwest and southeast. The Pac 10 is by far and away the best academic conference in the nation(excluding Ivy League). Stanford, USC, two private school monsters, then you have two of the best public schools in the nation in UCLA and Berkeley. The rest of the conference ranks higher than the entire SEC and most of the Big Ten.

PS- I got that opening line from Step Brothers- a true comedy classic rtight along your lines of humor. You will love it dude.

#1 Maybe, maybe not.
#2 What's it have to do with Penn St anyway?
#3 Holiday weekend, they've really only played once at home after Thanksgiving and much of the students weren't around.

Wasn't bashing PSU or it's fans at all. Just thought it unusual to have ANY empty seats at Penn State. You look at the Rose Bowl for UCLA games, or Stanford home games and you will see banks and banks of empty seats. Just sayin,' I thought all those Big Ten stadiums save for Purdue, Minnesota and Indiana sold every seat.

7 of the top 30 Universities are on the left side ...and that is only if you count Rice in Houston!!
since Houston is on the right side of the state it should be included w/the right side ...but
I'll let you have it!! It's too bad that Cali, w/it's higher education standard, is still the 3rd
dumbest state in the USA!!

The reason California scores so low is all the fucking illegals who partake in the testing and can't even read the fucker! Without those burrito eating sonsofbitches, I bet we are a top ten state!

To be fair here, the West is far less populated than the East. Per capita, without crunching numbers, the West has better schools per population I would think.
