I'm trying to get my 18 year old nephew to watch it. He doesn't want to because it's almost 30 years old.

I didn't. But did you ever see the movie "After Hours"? It was made in the mid 80s that was just about one night. It had Griffin Dunne and Rosanna Arquette and Tommy Chung in it, directed by Scorsese. A bunch or friends and I rented it once when it went to video. It was so hysterical yet quirky, but I was pretty high, so never knew if it really wasn't all that funny and it was just the state I was in. I never wanted to see it again, because I was afraid it might ruin the memory I had of it being so brilliantly funny and odd.

I have Night Shift memorized dude. Every fucking line memorized. In fact I went out and bought that Goddamned Rolling Stone Live disc with Jumpin Jack Flas on it. I mimicked Bill Blazejowski when I was in High school.. I shoved a hot dog in pants, listened to headphones, but I never fed mayo to a tuna fish. I loved that movie. It was on last night.

The comedy never ends. I did think the hookers were all hideous though. Chuck was cool too. Winkler pulled that off quite well I thought.

I saw Winkler at the airport a couple of months ago. He looked like father Christmas' older brother. He's getting on up there.

I love the scene where Billy Blaze is telling Chuck how he got thrown out of Atlantic City for being too good of a black jack player!!!

Chuck: "So how much did you win?"

Billy: "Well, I was down a couple hundred but they could tell I was a really good player."

After Gung Ho and Beetlejuice, I was tired of his act. The Dream Team was an exception but other than that, I lked the change of pace with him trying to be serious.
Now, with White noise, I thought that was a bit to much for him.

Night Shift was the beginning for MK, he stole the show and carved his own destiny right before our
eyes ... it's showtime!! He was a good Batman though, and he lost his way/what endeared
him to his audience as a result!!

I guess i'm too young for this film. The only one's i know from him are beatlejuice and batman. FYI the first swear i learned was the f word from beatlejuice when i first saw it when i was 4. "Nice fuckin model"

Ah...one of our first date movies with future hubby-to-be. We both knew of Ron Howard and Henry Winkler from Happy Days. And, yes, it was advertised as HW's transition from TV star to first movie lead...but MK wound up stealing the show. I think it was Mike's first movie role, too.

I remember it was also a big deal when MK went against type and became a serious leading man playing the first big-screen Batman. The story was Director Tim Burton specifically sought him out to play a dark, brooding character, and I thought he was very credible... and kind of sexy.

The worst Batman (and movie) was the one George Clooney was in....so forgetable I don't even remember the storyline...I think they made it more light-hearted (more cartoon-ish). Then they reverted back to "dark" with the last couple of movies with Christian Bale as the dark knight.
