Not true :P Cleveland was not about sold out and full of "plokkers". The lawn was PACKED. say what you want, cause you can :P but no way! Journey STILL draws a large crowd! And now with things such as "Glee" bringing it to the younger generation even more, they will STILL sell their tickets.

Don't you have a Johnny Reznik poster to swoon over? Or a calender to 'X' out the dates to, or something? :P

Plokkers make up no more than 10-20% of the crowds. And 20% is being very generous.

WTF are you talking about?

VH opened for Journey in what, 1978? Mopped the floor? Are you fucking insane? VH had just released their first album and was just starting to get known. Hell Montrose was on the bill too.

Triumph opening for Van Halen???  Seriously or joke?

Seriously. That's the hot rumor. They were going to tour as a stand alone last year, but the economy tanked and that is probably going to force them to open. Opening for VH might help them tour alone the following year.

Now THERE would be a triple bill.....MB/Triumph/Van Halen! Hell, I'd travel damn near anywhere to see MB and Triumph on the same bill! Now that would be a ballsout ROCK fest that would smoke the likes of Styx/Foreigner/Journey. Damn!!

You weirdo !!! You prefer Triumph over Europe ?! What's wrong with you ?! Don't answer I dont have time !

That's it , I'm missing the first hour for sure now !

Alright, I'll cut you some slack as you've been pretty good cutting my boys some slack. We can swap out Triumph for Europe when it hits 'your' city, k?  But to answer your question..........oh hell ya!!! I would take some "Magic Power" over some "Final Countdown" in a heartbeat!  They are one of my top 5 bands (original members) that I would looooooooove to see LIVE (have seen Journey & Triumph back in the day). Sadly 2 of the 5 bands, never can be......

1. Journey
2. Mr Big - check
3. Triumph
4. Inxs
5. Talisman

The problem with you and Dean is that you guys only know Europe for their cheesiest song ever. Europe has a strong catalog of great songs that blow both Triumph AND Mr Big away ;)

I am quite rehearsed in this, thank you. I SAW that tour dude. Yes VH was on it's maiden tour, and they DID clean Journey's clock. Hell, didn't you read Herbie's interview with Schon when they both came out to watch Eddie and Schon was blown away. Sorry, but VH's first album was muich better than Infinity...rocked harder, had better sound and more hooks too. That wasn't even close...I went there as a big Journey fan, but the next day I was listening to VH. So, I don't see your point here. I made a factual statement about VH and Journey touring together. Where is the falsity in that?

No B, I understand your point. I get upset when people mention to me that Bruce is "Born in the USA." Hell, that song rarely gets played live....so I do see your point. I DO know Europe is very talented.

You know how I absolutely hate to diagree w/you, but I, too, saw this ticket ...perhaps they got
better by time they reached the left, but when they were playin' the right, noone cleaned Journey's clock, NOONE!!!
Oh yes, VH were great ...but the star was Perry/Journey!!

Start From The Dark is one of the best melodic rock albums ever. They sound so mature & modern , with their original sound as the core. I think your credibility in music just went down to same level at Drewsky's ;)

I am not going to sit here and debate with you their deepest album. Though of the older albums, I put Out of This World and then FC above Prisoners, but they are all great :P I love those albums too. But there is NOTHING Godawful about their more modern sound, or their last 3 albums. I will admit each has a couple of songs I skip, but they ROCK. And SFTD is the best of those 3!!!

Half the songs on that album are super cheesy. There's really 4 great songs on PIP. ;)

No doubt , Kee is one of the best guitar players around. I think the best lineup Europe had tho was with Both Norum and Kee ( millennium show).

I am not saying at ALL that I don't think Kee is a great guitarist! I like his style too, and his work on OOTW! That is my favorite older album. BUT, there is no WAY that Norum sucks!! That is the word the S2M used! Norum is great in his own rite! And he is the "original" guitarist, and Kee filled in, and to me they are an original band this way. Kee joining them sure, but to say Kee should be doing their albums now is just bull!

SFTD is NOT grunge! I HATE grunge, and I love most of that album. And Marcello, great as he is, I don't think is better than Norum. Norum is an amazing guitarist and HIS solo stuff is awesome too!
