I was so happy to know if that crap was on my TV, it would be on at 315AM and wouldn't interfere with ESPN's regular programming, like, Around the Horn, or PTI.  amazing it took decades for them to finally stop encouraging these "sports"  I think it was entertainment for the PE teachers!

You know what's funny is I STILL have a kid sense of humor with stuff like that! I've played in a couple of the parent soccer games in the last year, and at one of them the ball hit another mom off on the sidelines in the back of the head and I SWEAR I had to turn around on the field and face the opposite direction and slapped BOTH hands over my mouth to keep from laughing out loud   I know that's not nice, but oh well!

I'd say soccer in more of a sport than football. Anybody who has watched more than 5 minutes of a football game knows that you don't have to be in good shape to play football. Most of the linemen in that sport are 300+ pound hogs (Warren Sapp comes to mind...), all fat, no muscle and besides, one play takes what, 10-15 seconds to run. It's basically 15 seconds of exercise followed by 45 seconds of standing around. I'd like to see a 350 pound fat ass lineman or a wide receiver run up and down a soccer field for an hour.

You need to educate yourself in football dude. EVERY single running back, linebacker, cornerback, safety and wide receiver in football is in much better shape than ANY soccer player alive. There simply is NO fat on them, they are ripped, cut and in excellent top shape. Sure lineman are fat, but they too are gifted in the fact that they can move a fucking motorhome across a Lowe's parking lot with the parking brake on. Soccer guy only runs, jogs, walks, jogs, watches grass grow, jogs, fakes an injury, gets up, rubs the "spot" some more for dramatic effect, jogs some more, and runs, then jogs some more. Football requires every limb of your body, athleticism that no soccer player possesses and a toughness that a soccer player just wouldn't understand.

Let me ask you this. Name ONE soccer player in the world who could play in the NFL? Hell, name ONE soccer player that could play in NCAA football? You can't. I could name hundreds of pro and collegiate footballer's who could easily play soccer.

And football players never fake injuries. I've lost track of how many times I've saw a football player roll around on the turf like he broke his leg or blew out a knee only to get up and walk to the sideline with hardly a limp a minute or two later. Then a couple downs later they're back in the game like nothing happened.
