Only Mr Big fans, just as only Bryan Adams fans would want to see him. What following does he have? He can't even afford to take a full band on the road unless he hooks onto to a tour with a big act.

LOL, um dude, Bryan Adams can buy Journey 5 times over. He has plenty of money. He chooses to tour acoustically. You aren't serious here are you?

My point was fans would come to see the concert and know songs from BOTH aretists if it were an Adams/Journey pairing, but that wouldn't be the case if it were a Journey/Mr Big pairing.

I still say it should be Bryan Adams. They are a perfect fit...similar talent, similar music.

Kansas is dead boring, Boston is now shit, and REO, blech. If you attach any of those bands to a Journey bill, it will be a huge turn off, and it will draw a lot of laughter from critics...embarrassing. I thought they were going to go it alone? Isn't that what Schon was preaching? I guess he found out that wasn't possible.

REO puts on a good show, say what you will about Cronin and his faggy asides.

Fleetwood Mac opening for Journey at this point is a hilarious proposition. I don't even see that being palatable if Perry were in the band!

Yeah I know Matty. REO is solid live, but to the casual fan, they are gay and dated. You can't argue that.

Daughtry and Kid Rock might open for Bon Jovi but Journey ain't no Bon Jovi.

Daughtry is a great opener for acts that are doing stadium, one opener that's well respected and then the main act. This whole thing with Journey still using two openers for their upcoming tour, I don't get.

You're right, Bon Jovi should open for Journey.

That would be hilarious. I'd love to see that crowd.

Up until this year Daughtry was doing club tours, well, even I think this year, too, but then moved into arenas for the first time, if I remember correctly. I don't know what the sellout was on it in larger venues.

Jovi might be sellouts, thieves, whatever but they still pack 'em in and in the music world, that is all that matters. 15 soldout shows in a row at the O2 is something that even a triple bill like Journey/Foreigner /Styx can only dream about.

I think you know what I was getting at.....

Journey could open for Daughtry....as he gets way more radio time these days.

Bon Jovi....still sells out large stadiums....they could do it alone.

I'll do a 180 here and say Pat Benatar. Now she is done with her 30th anniversary tour, being slotted based on the success Journey had with Heart might not be a bad idea.

Maybe most people think two is necessary because most bands big enough to fit the bill wouldn't open for Journey, except for the usual smaller bands. Most people probably think of the Foreigner, styx, kansas, cheap trick types.

Not in 2008 but last year, their set was as almost as long in some of their shows.

I think she would be a draw. I just don't own any of her music, so wish for someone else. I would prefer Boston over Pat.

She has a great catalog...she really does...I would see her alone.

Boston is in the same "boat" as Journey.... but they have two replacement singers...one is utter crap...the other is really good.

I saw her with Terri Nunn and Patty Smyth as the openers a year or so back in the OC. Pat has lost a lot of range but her and Neil change up the arrangements so it's not really an issue

Well, you're forgiven, I guess. Considering most people attending Journey shows are 75% women, you guys would win out on this vote.

You could be correct about people knowing more of his songs than Mr Big I suppose, he does have two or three more hits, I guess.

Adams looks gayer than Cronin...
