Fleetwood Mac

Just gotta love this band. And I know everybody gushes over Stevie, but Christine and Lindsey were the backbone of this group. I tend to gravitate towards Christine's songs more....

Rumours just kicks my ass...and Tango in the Night is a close 2nd....Mirage, Tusk, and Self-titled are pick and choose....I never really listened to the Peter Green incaranation...so I can't comment. I just know I <3 me some Fleetwood Mac....

Watching '97s The Dance, and this is some classic stuff....

Great band... Buckingham is one of the most underrated guitar players around. Have you heard his latest solo album, Gift of Screws?

Love "Gift of Screws" kick ass album. "Under the Skin" is also really good album. "Out of the Cradle" is still my favorite Buckingham album though. Lindsey seems really dialed in right now with writting new songs, I hope this means that the next Fleetwood album kicks ass.

That sounds very gay, Matt. "I can send it to you if you like?" Yes, it sounds proper, professional and well spoken...hence gay. Why not just say, "I have that fucker if you want it dude?" Doesn't that sound a bit more non gay? :)

Fleetwood Mac is one of those special bands. Talent at every position, in fact mega talent. Lindsey can flat out play like a motherfucker. I agree with S2M about Stevie, but there is just something about her that intrigues the listener. This was one of those bands with three lead singers.....just a tremendously gifted band.

Fuck you, fuck you very much.

As far as Stevie goes, she just has one of THOSE voices. Instantly recognizable, can't be replicated. It's almost like a female Burton Cummings - you just don't hear anything like her. Burton always says one of the best compliments he gets is that he "sounds like no one else." Same can be said for Stevie.

The band just toured last year sans Christine McVie. Not sure if they are ready to go back on the road again so soon.

"Christine had been having panic attacks before gigs and was developing a fear of flying, but she kept everything bottled up inside,' Stevie says. 'Then, on the night of the Grammys, she told me she simply couldn't go on any more.
'When you love someone as much as I love Christine, you know instantly when they are serious. Her big green eyes filled with tears as she spoke, and I started welling up, too.
'I told her she needed to go home immediately, and she did. She flew home to England and she hasn't been back to the States since."

Why would they be flying on tour? If they were in the States, why wouldn't they bus it? Looking at the tour schedule you just posted, a plane would seem rather uneccessary.

We could ask ABBA the same thing. I guess taking the plane over the water from the UK and on to Hawaii or wherever might be the issue.
