 Yeah, that's a pretty good one! And as I've been sitting here thinking MAYBE I will turn over a new leaf like I told Eve, and say I surrender, without a comeback to this cute little analogy of yours.... I remember I'M NOT FRENCH!!!

My literature also includes cereal boxes... so shows how much you know :P It's very obvious your parents provided you with too much "fairytale" literature... its why you believe everything you read as fact and also why you are SUCH a princess. Why don't you go back to your palace of mirrors, wine, shitty food, and designer purses and try not to piss on the first prince charming that comes your way..... a fairytale with a tragic ending just sucks and I'd hate to have to keep telling you to go fuck yourself... it would be nice for some big handsome man to do that for you once in a while ;) :P

Okay, I forgot to add cereal boxes. I'm gonna let most of your post slide however, since I know you're just a pissed off hippo who's about to head into menopause, but the shitty food thing - no fucking way you, an American, can come here and say that. For a nation who's idea of a gourmet meal is deepfrying a snickers bar and is so overweight that you're a couple of burgers away from tipping over into the ocean.

Hearing Americans yapping about culture and food is like listening to a priest passing judgment on others (que cute catholic choir boys).

First of all, I'm not pissed off..... you are the ONLY one that can be connected to that word for eternity. It's not about being pissed off. It's about putting you in your place. As I would do with any arrogant, vain, believes theories are facts, pussy of a princess like you..... for right now, you are the ONLY one who fits that description. I'm not afraid of menopause, though I am about 10 or 15 years from that. I'm not afraid of growing older either. With age comes wisdom, which is the only reason I can figure you are such a half-wit.

Your food IS shitty. You name one food with flavor that doesn't taste like it came out of an animals backside? Our food is just fine. I'd rather enjoy my life tasting the pleasure of wonderful flavorful foods from around the world, than eat your wheat germ and dirt meals. I'd rather not be an anorexic looking stick of a woman and know I spent my life enjoying myself in every way I could. Not depriving myself of one of life's great pleasures. There are ways to do that AND be healthy. If you weren't so busy talking out of your asshole all the time, maybe that prince charming could find his way in. Then you could find some kind of pleasure in life too, besides coming here and being a whiny repetitive bitch :P

It's pretty obvious that you're simply not that smart, as you still can't understand what a theory really means. The scientific theory, isn't a hypothesis as the word is being used in non scientific circles. The Theory of General Relativity is too a theory, but a scientific one - there's a big difference there. Lynn: this is science 101.

Ever been to Italy, France or Spain? What about South Korea or Japan? They all have great food and it's deeply rooted in their culture. And how can eating burgers, hot dogs and fried chicken be one of life's greatest pleasure? I'd take Italian Calamari, French oysters or squid and kimchi any day - and so would anyone with any discernible taste.

Who EVER said that my greatest pleasure comes from THOSE FOODS???? I didn't need to travel to Italy to eat Italian food. I had a grandmother who had a vegetable garden, grew tomatoes, canned them, and made her own fresh Italian food.

I am aware of the difference between "Americanized" food and authentic, and I look for restaurants who make as close to authentic as I can get. I have tried many different food from as many cultures as I can. Not all of us have parents who can spoil us with world traveling :P So I have to find it locally or try to make things myself. You have a REALLY skewed view on what Americans eat. You are really generalizing to a degree where I can't believe it, and then I remember its' YOU we are talking about, and it all makes sense. You wouldn't know a FACT if it bit you on the ass, so of course you have your facts on American diets to add to your list. You can't base an American diet what you got in line at the fast food counter at Disney World

Enjoying an occassional hot dog or hamburger does not mean that is our main staple. We are a mix of people here. Such a mix of cultures, that we have many different foods to choose from. I do a LOT of cooking myself, and I DO include fish in my cooking. My fish includes spices and flavor though, something I bet yours is lacking, if it's anything like the crappy Norwegian food they had at the "authentic" Norwegian restaurant at EPCOT. That is EVERYONE'S least favorite restaurant to eat there for a reason

And for the 1000th time, I have a BS in Biology. You can't teach me anything about theories. There are some theories that can be proven through scientific experiment more than others. THAT is fact. The theories you call fact are no more fact than anyone saying Columbus discovered America :P

Tipping over into the ocean, lol. I love French food--I think it's my favorite--it's the sauce thing... I've tried cooking out of Julia Child's cookbook and have been successful on a handful of them but it's true--it's an art. By the way, I think Julia's potato salad was the best I've ever eaten... I adore the French chefs on Top Chef too--they seem to be so charming in addition to being great cooks... I wish I could whip up a French dish off the top of my head but sadly I have to have a recipe..

Wait a minute... Did you really equate some shit in the Epcot center to the real deal? Come on, Lynn. But you guys really did invent some classic, classic food. Like the Chinese food you eat over there. Chow Mein, chop suey, Tso's chicken and eggrolls - all American inventions. Chinese food isn't like that at all. Or the disguisting Cobb Salad or Corn Dogs. Good stuff.

And regarding your so called biology BS - I call bullshit. Evolution have been known as a fact for decades. Here's a quote from The National Academy of Science (U.S.):

Scientists most often use the word "fact" to describe an observation. But scientists can also use fact to mean something that has been tested or observed so many times that there is no longer a compelling reason to keep testing or looking for examples. The occurrence of evolution in this sense is fact. Scientists no longer question whether descent with modification occurred because the evidence is so strong.

We know more about evolution than gravity, you know. Ever heard about allele frequency? Or what about evolution's predictive power? Prior to 2004, paleontologists had found fossils of amphibians with necks, ears, and four legs, in rock no older than 365 million years old. Because in rocks more than 385 million years old they could only find fish, without these amphibian characteristics. Evolutionary theory predicted that since amphibians evolved from fish, an intermediate form should be found in rock dated between 365 and 385 million years ago. Such an intermediate form should have many fish-like characteristics, conserved from 385 million years ago or more, but also have many amphibian characteristics as well. In 2004, an expedition to islands in the Canadian arctic searching specifically for this fossil form in rocks that were 375 million years old discovered fossils of Tiktaalik.

A BS in biology really doesn't count for much when you obviously haven't learned shit. I guess acting as the class' cumdump really isn't the way to go if you actually wanted to learn anything.

 okay, I'll play this game. Deano and SJ have the most votes, but I don't consider them bullies...that's not their style...their words sting but not mean-spirited.

If there is a bully here on MR, it's Behshad (imo), for his relentless attacks toward Phyllis (Blueskies). I know Phy rubs a lot of people here the wrong way (by her sanctimonious nature)....heck, she came after me once (a long time ago by messageboard timeline) for no good reason. Most of us are above the fray...I just think Beh crosses the line with his crude attacks.

Beh started this thread...I've made and cast an honest vote...now let's see if I'm in his crosshairs...

We all know you are a cumdump depository princess.....maybe your grades wouldn't be so shitty if you used that fake charm and ego of yours on a male professor or two.

FIRST of all, I SAID I knew the difference between authentic and " "americanized" food. I KNOW much of the Chinese food IS Americanized, which is why I said I SEARCH for authentic when I can. Do you know where I live?? Do you know HOW MANY people live here from around the world?? I worked with a Chinese woman. When we ordered Chinese for lunch, NO ONE ordered from the menu. SHE called it in, talked to them in Chinese, and they prepared us special food NOT on the menu. And I don't know about eggrolls, but spring rolls are most definitely part of Asian food culture. I know a Korean girl, and she had a bunch of us over to teach us how to make her spring rolls, which are better than any I've had in my life. We have tons of Asian markets here, as well as other specialized markets when people want to buy and cook authentic. She showed us how she marinates and then charcoal grilled BBQ pork skewers. They were the best I've had. She's only lived in this country for about 10 years. Her English is very broken. One of my best friends is puerto rican. He takes us to tiny hole in the wall family run places for Spanish, puerto rican, south American, and Cuban food. It is the BEST. Blows any Americanized Spanish or Mexican place out of the water. These people serve to Spanish customers who MISS their food back home. The menu is in Spanish, so my friend orders for us. We have Mexican restaurants that are not Americanized either. Things I've never had in any chain. We have Mexicans with portable trailers in parking lots that sell authentic food they probably cooked in their own kitchens. None of the food I tried is ANYTHING like I've had in a Mexican chain. Exactly like what I had IN Mexico when I traveled there several times. Awesome food! The lines at these trailers, and customers at these places, ARE Mexican and Spanish people. That's always the first clue of authenticity.

As far as EPCOT goes. When world showcase opened, one of the things they boasted was the expensive restaurants in the countries represented, would be owned and run by the people from said countries. NOT the counter service you asshole, the restaurants. The chefs, the food....all FROM the countries represented. The people working those pavilions are FROM the countries represented there. I tried to look up Norways restaurant, and GUESS what I found out!!! It's been turned into a "PRINCESS DINING EXPERIENCE".  Sounds right up your alley!!!!!!!! I can't BELIEVE you missed out on that!!! I would lay BETS they HAD to change it because they couldn't get people in to eat the shitty food. Not when so many other countries with awesome cuisine are represented there. I ate at the original Norwegian restaurant once. Because not so surprisingly it was the only one we could do without a reservation one time. We all thought it sucked. The ONLY thing I liked is the Norwegian bakery. I will give you this though. I find it quite embarrassing the only American food represented there is counter service consisting of typical Disney hot dogs, hamburgers, fried chicken and fries. It's no wonder morons like you come here, visit Disney, and think that's our cuisine. We all know it's not. We are a cuisine of many cultures in this country. We don't eat any one food in any one style. That's why I love it here. So many options, choices, and wonderful food. If you think we can't find authentic food than you really are not as worldly and educated as you pretend to be.

And for the MILLIONTH time!!!! I've NEVER discounted evolution as a viable theory. So shove your words up your ass again, and keep them there please. My point is it can not be proven as fact. No matter what your fucking scientific communitity says, there is a reason it's called a theory. You don't have to believe my education. I know the classes I took in college. The same ones all the pre-med students were taking. Yeah, PRE-MED...something dumb ass foreign doctors like you will be, don't have to do. HERE, they need a 4 year Biology degree before ever thinking about getting accepted into a med school. There are no skipping steps or going right into med school out of high school here. It's a good 8 or more years just to enter the medical community on your own, and more years to become established. They weed out the weaklings that way, at the university level. So why don't you just STFU about how you are an all knowing scientist of some sort. You've barely made an entrance into that world. I hope you become smarter and more open minded by the time you have real patients.

Dan's words are never mean-spirited???   I love Dan, and I laugh at most of what he says, but his words ARE mean spirited. I think even he would agree that they are. He may not MEAN them all, but they ARE mean. I know Behshad doesn't mean most of what he says either. It's the SAME humor and the same level of "mean", sorry. I don't see much of a difference. I've seen Dan use words just as crude as Behshad. I won't comment on Dean, since he doesn't seem to be taking this all that well. :) The many different personalities and humors are what makes this board fun. Look what happened when for a month or so these people didn't post. It almost died a very slow death. They liven the place up and it's not a bad thing. Phyl deserves everything she gets. She BEGGED for it. It was sport for her.

Good stuff.

And regarding your so called biology BS - I call bullshit. Evolution have been known as a fact for decades. Here's a quote from The National Academy of Science (U.S.):

Lynn; when you're going against the National Academy of Science, then seriously - that discussion is dead. You've proven your own stupidity.

It's like everytime you open your mouth, some retarded shit just takes a waltz out of it. Medical School in France takes around 10 years in total, excluding specialization. The first year is finished when you'll do your concours, (which only 10 % passes, and makes it onto the second year). There was around 2000 students when we started at the first year, and now we're 150 remaining in the second year. Money doesn't count for shit here. If you won't study all god damn day, then you just won't make it. Medical School is grueling, hard work.

Pretty obvious this is another case of: Lynn takes outta her ass

So now you're quoting yourself ?!?! What a tool.

In regards to your food preferences , eating that shit that only stuck up rich people eat doesn't make you a food expert , peepee. You come from Norway , where they have NO clue what good food is !
( that goes for all of Scandinavia )

Nothing to say about the food???? Because you KNOW your wrong and there's nothing to argue. Why do foreign doctors have to go through so many tests, extra classes, and licensing if the education abroad is SO equal? I'm sure that varies depending on where they are immigrating from. Doctors from some countries are encouraged to join the nursing field instead. We can debate the French vs. U.S. Med school differences...which are many. The fact your schools are free and government controlled being one. But I'm sure it would just be met with more arrogant, Anti-American pompous typical French bullshit your very good at spewing. People lime you are why most Americans don't want to visit France. They are just RUDE and you give all the nice French people a bad rap. You can call me dumb all you want. Maybe you're even right. But at least I'm not an arrogant egotistical prick :D

I didn't even notice he did that  At least he can't argue food with you since you've actually eaten food in Scandanavian countries  I still can't believe they turned the Norway restaurant into a princess dining experience, just to have a way to fill it no doubt! Bet they had to tweak the menu to things people will actually like too. Prickfait forgets that he's described some of his "healthy" food to us, and his descriptions themselves sound shitty, bland, and boring. Notice in this thread he talks about the great food from OTHER countries, because he knows he doesn't have leg to stand on with the Norwegian crap. Does he think we all have fry vats in our homes??? He IS a tool :P

Do you really need another factual overhaul? Okay, well put on your pair of best stretch pants and crocs; cause here we go!

Bocuse d'Or and International Exhibition of Culinary Art, the culinary equivalent of the Olympics, where each nation can only prepare and cook food from their own nation, have Norway continuously kicked ass. We''re ranked 2nd in total medals in Bocuse d'Or only beaten by France, and ranked the best in the world in the IEC (USA is on a sixth). So, I guess Norwegian cooking and French for that matter, is so god awful when we're the best in the world at it. So I guess the Norwegian crap, which you know absolutely nothing about, does have a leg to stand on. And when I say leg, I actually mean a god damn skyscraper.

And puh-lease; stop yapping about the quality difference in doctors which you know absolutely nothing about. There's currently no good data about it either, since it's practically impossible to compare the different nation's doctors. The US got a great residency program however and have some kickass universities. Norway is world leading in cancer research, but they only got average schools (at best). The only good numbers that exist is about a nation's healthcare, and fuck me sideways; France is number 1. Norway is number 11 and the US is number 37.

Lynn. I'm gonna break this down real easy for you. You. Are. Full. Of. Shit

Get real PeePee.
Bocuse d'Or is about giving some young chefs a chance to use their creativity and culinary skills . That's not the real food they serve in your Norwegian restaurants or what people eat daily.
I can guarantee that Norway wouldn't have a chance in any "food Olympics " if they Would make their LuteFisk, stekte pølser , Kjøttkaker or Gravlax ...Which are all true authentic Norwegian Meals served daily in Norwegian homes.

Thank you for your vote! Since Phyl isn't around, I guess I won't be crossing the line no more :(

No offense, Beh.... and thanks for your restraint -- almost expected a nasty retort .
