not the greatest fan of them, but there is definitely some magic in that performance--and that's why you go to live shows right there.

I was one of their biggest fans. When BOTW came out, I nearly died listening to it over and over again. Nobody can top AG's rendition...not unlike how I feel about some of SP's songs now.

S & G were boyhood pals (is my understanding on their history)...Paul wrote all the songs and played acoustic guitar, while Art had the lovely voice. They became famous with SOS in the '60s...played in the soundtrack of the cult hit movie, The Graduate. BOTW came out in '69....took them to superstar group status. Paul wrote the song, but it was all Art's singing that made it a worldwide hit. Shortly thereafter, they had a contentious breakup and went separate ways. Paul continued with his strong songwriting/solo music career...Art acted in some movies. Had a nice reunion/comeback in their Concert in Central Park ('81). Never heard much after that, except Paul still writing and recording throughout the '80s into '90s.

Wow...seeing them in these yt videos...says 25th RnR HOF, MSQ, 10-29-09....striking how old they've gotten (still recalling how they looked in '81)...man, aren't we all old....lol.
