You'd be good to re-watch the first one, but it's not absolutely necessary. They explain some, but wished I had of re-watched it first.

And talk about terrible marketing. How many copies you think they could have sold at the time of the new one coming out? I don't get it.

Disney pulled all the DVDs because they're going to make it in some sort of limited edition Blu-Ray thingie.
If you have geeky friends, the file is out there.

Spent the train ride home trying to explain to my dad what the story was. We saw the original together when it first came out, I have it here somewhere. Think they'll do another sequel?

Disney made SURE the original movie was no where to be found for purchase before this movie came out because they didn't want it to affect Legacy's ticket sales. Nothing to do with some special release. They were worried. This movie cost 170 million. If it doesn't over perform over seas a feature film sequel is not likely. That said, they're doing a 3d animated tv show ala The Clone Wars on some cable/satellite cartoon channel (not cartoon network). Not sure when it starts, but the show is going to cover the years Flynn spent in the computer fighting his war against Clu.
