2011 will be the 30th anniversaries of both the Escape and Hi Infidelity albums going number one. Talk about making Azoff's job as easy as possible. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see this tour come to fruition.

I hope not. I don't wanna sit through that snore fest again.

Actually I likem them. They put on a good show (when Kevin is't talking alot :D ), plus there cds are solid. There last cd was better than Journey's last cd.

Gloria is from the Chirstmas cd, it was in the set list
Kevin voice is different from show to show. A busy week his voice is weak. Seen them several times and it is hit or miss. More hit than miss though.

Couldn't agree more. The first half of the album was killer. Alot better than the building the bridge album (which i like).

Exactly i saw them a couple years ago and he had a bad cold and didn't sound that great. Still a great show though.

BTW that gloria is not the christmas song, it's a cover from the artist shadows of knight.

Yeah, that's why I'm done with Kevin's band. Sick of hearing Amato fail on Gary's parts.

I've seen them live two or three times and he did a fine job, as well as just about any live recordings I've heard of the band.

I've listened to alot of REO...I wouldn't actually call their music very guitar reliant. Same with Toto. That's why I don't get the fact when people praise Gary and Luke.... :? :?

While I like Gary Richrath as a guitarist, I don't think he was one of the best. Lukather is a different story, though. He is a great guitarist and just about anyone out there that knows anything about playing guitar and has heard him play will tell you the same thing.

Well, my point was....looking at the groups they were in you would never know this. Luke after Toto was done. Same with Vivian. Left Dio for Lippard and mired in obscurity....

Dave. Check out Gary's playing on this clip starting at the 3:00 mark on this clip.

Then compare it to Amato's attempt starting at the 3:05 mark. Don't mind the difference in the sound quality. Doesn't even sound like the same song. Pathetic compared to Richrath. As a Richrath fan this bastardization is like comparing Perry's "Faithfully" vocals to Cain's version of "Faithfully"

They're teaming up in Germany for a few shows. And Foreigner is going to Graspop with Journey also. Azoff is gravytraining his other legacy acts off of Journey's success by forcing promoters to take them as part of getting Journey on stage. If he is pulling this shit in Europe, I wonder what kind of nostalgia tour he has lined up for the states?
