What a fucking Psycho. I would have waited til about 3AM, and went over to his "prized lawn" and bleached my dogs name onto it. This guy sounds like an ex MLB groundskeeper or some shit.

Well, maybe you shouldn't curse someone and punch them in the face after they've just pulled a gun on you. Sounds like ol' Darwin claimed another one here. I'm just sayin'...

My thoughts exactly. What a total dumb-ass, and right or wrong, I don't feel too sorry for him.

A year ago I kept finding piles of dog crap in my yard, which is especially uncool when discovered by lawnmower. Finally I was driving home one day and caught some lady parking her dog in my yard while he grunted a fresh one out, and I rolled down my window and asked her nicely please not to let her dog use my yard anymore. I guess she didn't like being put on the spot -- she got defensive and copped an attitude, then tried to claim she always picked it up with a plastic bag (which she did then magically produce). That irritated me so I was a little more direct and told her to pick up the other piles while she was at it, and that I'd better not see that dog anywhere close to my yard again.

I live in an area where it seems no one picks up their dog's business and it's infuriating, although the same can be said for where I used to live. A greenspace that isn't in front of someone's house is not the wilderness. A couple of months ago, I was walking my dog after work, and in the dark managed to step in another's dog's mess when I walked over to pick up after mine - luckily it was from a small dog. The weirdest was our neighbour's psycho cat in my old hometown. If I hadn't seen that cat squat on the lawn myself, I never would have believed it was a cat who left that!

Wow...we have some fucking wing nuts on this board. To think that there are some who are almost justifying murder for a dog taking a shit. Unreal. Listen, I'm not a dog owner because I don't like high-maintenance pets (which dogs are) or high-maintenance women. I also think it's incredibly rude for any dog owner to allow their four legged friend to leave a steaming pile of shit on someone else's property and if one of my neighbors allowed that on my lawn, I'd kick the fucker in the shin. That said, to get on a message board and say things like "I don't even feel bad" for a guy who was murdered is just as fucked up as murdering someone over something so ridiculous. This proves what I've believed for many years...most people are complete fucking animals!

Yeah, I mean really.... he should have just killed the puppy, THAT'S the real culprit... (that was a joke people.. I never condone the killing of innocent puppies  )

We know people in this world are INSANE already. I don't think it takes one article like this to prove it

I laughed out loud at this. I can picture you, trolling the yard with your self propelled Toro, wearing headphones and listening to "Dokken Unplugged" and then coming up on a mine field, and Blam!, shit sprayed all over the place. HAHAHAHAHA

I don't think anyone is justifying murder over a steaming pile of poo. Unfortunately, when the decedent punched the guy in the face, he changed the whole game. All I'm saying is, if someone is brandishing a weapon, it's not the time to stand there jaw-jacking & taking a swing at the guy. Sounds to me like the 23 yr old thought he was bullet-proof. He was not.

Whoa, no one is really saying Clements was justified in shooting Funches because his dog went on Clements's lawn! (Well perhaps Rip, but I'm not sure if he really meant that). As the judge said, it wasn't about that - it was about his reaction to being assaulted. This 69 year old veteran was cursed at, pushed, and then punched in the face by a 23 year old who should have simply apologized, moved on, and not let his dog use that lawn in the future. But to punch an elderly man in the face who was obviously upset and had just brandished a gun was a stupid way to escalate a confrontation. If after hearing all of the evidence and testimony the judge decided that probation was appropriate and the DA is not going to appeal the decision, I have a feeling there was a lot more to this than what was in the article, because even in Canada a person would usually get more than four years probation for second degree murder.

We naturally segued into poop stories, because it's par for the course around here.

It still makes me laugh when the stupidity of human beings think that Global Warming, pollution, tornadoes, volcanoes, or asteroids are going to be the end of Earth. We are ALL wrong. It's us that's going to make our own species become instinct. Just look at that article. Wow, that's pretty disturbing there are people in this World that lack a conscience.
