Classic Rock magazine -- AOR issue -- Steve Perry interview

Postby LTS » Fri Dec 31, 2010 11:25 am

I had given up on finding this magazine in the U.S. but I was at Barnes & Noble today and there was one copy on the shelf waiting for me to buy it -- I just got done reading the articles on Journey/Steve -- enjoyed the article about the making of "Stone In Love". Anybody else find/read this magazine yet?

Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the venue.TR.com

Picked up a copy at Waterloo Records in Austin last weekend. I thought it was a cool feature with Steve and rest of the guys. Actually I thought the whole magazine was interesting and well done. Nice quotes from the Wombat and Steve Price as to whether the resurgance of AOR is sustainable.

Is this the one with Rush on the cover? Or is it one of those special editions?

It's a special (glossy) issue called Classic Rock Presents AOR: Don't Stop Believin' ; it's got a big silver/purple scarab on the cover. Not sure if there are going to be more of these or not. Comes with a cd of some pretty cool tunes.
