Yeah, with 5 "suspended" players actually um, playing. What a joke that is. I can't get my head around that one. Had it been a SEC team, those players would have been suspended for the Bowl game. For me, living in Ohio, I am a rare type who loathes OSU and refuses to root for them against any other team. The big reason is the arrogance and mindlessness of OSU (and by extension), the Big Ten's fans. They still think the conference and OSU in particular are as good as they were back many years. Neither is that good any more.

The overall mindlessness and tunnel vision of OSU fans is staggering. They sit there and heap praise on Tressel for "upholding the program's honor" because he demanded a "promise" ( :roll:

) from those idiots that they will come back next year. Big fuckin deal. Even if they all keep their "promises" (doubtful), defending the program's honor would have involved sitting those fucks for the game last night. Moreover, if it were Arkansas players in the same scandal, they'd be bitching that the players were allowed to play.

For the last five years we've sat and watched legit teams like TCU and Boise State get screwed out of BCS chances because conferences like the Big Ten are given WAY more than their due. I've been told time and again by my OSU fan friends that those teams are "too slow," "too small," "suck," and "would go 5-5 in the Big Ten/playing OSU's schedule." So what happens this year? TCU finally gets a shot and beats Wisconsin, who was the best team in the Big Ten the BS "co-champion" moniker notwithstanding. We all know what happened in the rest of the bowl games, including one of the other "co-champs" MSU getting absolutely embarrassed against Alabama.

So for me, I'm just tired of the arrogance and the self-overrating of OSU fans. It's sickening.

It's a good football program that plays a mostly soft schedule every year, blows 1 game every year or in the alternative gets exposed in the BCS Natl Championship game. It's not the powerhouse any of its deluded fans would like you or me to believe. Fan pride is one thing, but OSU and Big Ten fans consistently turn a blind eye to cold hard facts. I refuse to even talk sports with any of them any more.

Anyway, that was a pretty good win last night. I hate to go all S2M on OSU, but they did fluke out pretty hard to win. The very first fumble recovery where the Ark guys knocked the ball out of each other's hands to Sanzenbacher was a total fluke and that idiot should not have dove for the ball on the fumble recovery late in the 4th. So, this game can hardly be cited as a dominant performance to wipe away the memories of all of those absolute SPANKINGS of OSU by SEC teams in recent Bowl games.
