He probably is the most similar in style to Schon of any guitarist out there. Although Steve Lukather and Lincoln Brewster also have similarities to Schon.
I love Josh Ramos' guitar playing.
But he's not as good as Neal Schon

Can you explain to me from a musical perspective the simalrities in these guys playing styles and what it is that makes Schon a better player than Ramos?

more like ripoff, and I mean that in the worst way. There is a difference between a tip of the hate to a song, and a pure ripoff of it. That one falls into the second category, extremely amateurish to these ears--and is enough to kill an otherwise somewhat decent song. Quality control is needed here.

Oh for God's sake. The guy sang in the night.... in the same melody as Don't Stop Believin', as a homage to the band we all clearly love so much. Nothing else in the song sounds like DSB. Pure rip off? I wrote the damn thing. Tell me where.

Saint John wrote:Not guilty is my verdict. Aside from " ... in the niiiiiight" there isn't any other similarity to DSB. This song is original but, like Eric mentioned, also a homage. But that doesn't make it a ripoff. Decent tune, too. I really thought Hugo sounded a lot like Augeri on the song, but with a clearer tenor and better pitch.

Bad decision Schon. I love that smack Gator. We, or I, will now borrow your gloss(glossary), and use BDS for referencing the little guitarist that could.
