It wasn't about the singer, Jackass! It was about the fact that the entire group of 15,000 fans were on their feet showing class and applauding the Canadian National Anthem! Last I checked, it wasn't an American Idol contest!

Nice  - I guess it depends what kind of crowd you hung out with (if you do actually know any French Canadians). I've spent time in Quebec and can honestly say I didn't encounter anyone who smelled like 'roadkill' .

Dude, I live in Florida. In the winter they flock to Florida en masse'. In grocery stores or any department store @ 6am or 9 pm they are there, tank-tops, flip-flops, smelling like a bottle of scotch. And trust me, the women have no clue how to shave under their arms or use deodorant. It might just be the older generation of French who still cling to the past.

So throw a stick of deodorant and a pack of disposable razors in their shopping baskets when they're not looking  (and I'm a dudette )

Being from Canada, I can tell you that the Quebercers are a different breed. Not like the rest of Canada or the US. They are annoying. Nevertheless I can also tell you that the Canadian anthem was booed quite a bit at baseball games in the early 80's and 90's when the Blue Jays were contenders and playing for the World Series. I remember in the early 80's in one US city the announcer had to tell the fans before the Canadian anthem to not boo it. In Atlanta during the '92 World Series, they booed the Canadian Anthem and even flew the Canadian flag upside down!!

I don't think so Lynn. A concussion is not that easy to "fix."

And add to that, the terrible way the Pens handled all this...they really messed up, big time.

Very good point! Not only were the Jays contenders, they won it both times! And the Goddamned Marines did fly the Maple Leaf upside down...can you imagine if the RCMP flew Old Glory upside down? Toronto would be in the US crosshairs in 5 minutes.

Well it was the Pens who called it a "minor" concussion and said that he'd be back in a week or so, if his symptoms were gone. It's pretty clear they're not since it's been over 2 weeks! What did they handle terribly?

I watch the NHL 24/7, so take it from me as you will. I LOVE Bylsma and the boys a bunch, BUT....

Sid received his concussion against Washington in the waning seconds of the Winter Classic. He came back to play the third. They completely either miss diagnosed it, or ignored it because of the size of stage the game was on that night. He played the NEXT game too! THEN, and only then, do the Penguins say Sidney has a concussion. They messed up either way. My take is that PGH medical and coaching "overlooked it" for the sake of the WC, and then tried to cover their asses....they later said he suffered it in the Montreal game, but there were no noticeable hits against Sidney in that game.

Hmm.

Really? My daughter said she watched youtubes for both games showing when it may have happened! I haven't watched them yet though! Wonder why they wanted us to think it was so minor too, when it's not!

It happened in the last 20 seconds of the 2nd period in the WC at Heinz.

The Pens have the face of the NHL to watch out for. You have to be careful when spouting off to the media how Sidney Crosby is doing and what is wrong with him. He is the golden egg of the NHL, surely you understand this. There are cities down the line where the Pens are going to play in...they want to keep fans hopefuyl that Mr Crosby will be in the lineup when Pittsburgh calls in their town.

Well I noticed that they are saying VERY little now. They won't give too many updates at all. I guess that's why. But there IS a clip they are saying could have been the cause from the WC too. I just don't have it and didn't watch it myself yet. Have you seen that one?
