Major Dick Winters - R.I.P.

Saw this in the news today, and it's a real loss. Anyone whose seen Band of Brothers knows Richard Winters was a true hero in every sense of the word.

"a real loss"? ....Maybe...but at 92? Can't help think anyone that makes it to 80 in general health we should feel sad for. Respect certainly. Band of Brothers was really well done.

I chose that word carefully. Not sad, not tragedy. He's certainly lived a very full life. But anytime someone like him passes, it's a loss for the people he inspires thru his character. There aren't enough leaders like him left in the world.
