More brilliance by college football and the NCAA. The season ended two months ago and they're just now playing the "National Championship"! I'm not sure that even college football fans (outside of Auburn and Oregon) give a shit at this point.

Precisely my point Tom. The amazing thing to me is that people who consider themselves college football fans (which I am admittedly not) don't find this as fucking absurd as it is. I mean really...pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training in 4 weeks!

How about that TWO week break between AFC/NFC championship games and the SB! I can't even watch/listen to that media circus for 14 fucking days....One week was good enough. I guess some of the reason is the league wants injured players to get better? Or just for the simple fact of ramming it into our skulls for an extra week?

It pains me to do this, but I agree with you. I've always hated having two weeks in between the championship games and the Super Bowl, which illustrates just how fucking mindless the NCAA is having almost two months between them! Zero common sense. As much as I hate to see the football season end, one week between games is more than anyone needs.

Oh the CFB fans are ready for this and it will be an epic game. I can assure you JonathanfromNewEngland, that this game tonight will be as much anticipated and watched as the upcoming Super Bowl between Baltimore and Green Bay. College Football is so much better than that sterile NFL shit. Hell, the NFL could only match the passion of NCAA football only if every player had the same drive and passion as the OG did/does. Yawn, I get so pumped up watching Brady warmup  or seeing Mendenhall go through the motions...fuck the NFL.

Be careful for what you wish for Jethro. You haven't seen Oregon this year. You dumbfuckers don't even know a very strong conference even exists west of the Mississippi River. You don't have the luxury of playing yet another slow, fat stupid Big ten team.

Tonight, you aren't going to get Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Georgia or even Florida for that matter. You think the SEC has speed? Wait til oregon runs through you, over you and around you tonight. Oregon is FAST.

I guarantee you that if Boise State or TCU were invited to join the SEC, both teams would be dominating that conference within 5 years....

College football BLOWS! Fuck, if I went along with that system, your beloved Seahawks wouldn't have been eligible for the playoffs due to "strength of schedule". Sorry dude, but you can't call out NFL fans and tell us we don't have passion when the Bill Gates computer dork rednecks are deciding who should play for the "National Championship" based on their fucking abacus! It's a complete fucking embarrassment. Not to mention, there isn't a single team "sport" in this country who doesn't allow their championship to be decided in a playoff system, on the field. Fuck college football and the BCS. It will be nice when those so-called "student-athletes" move onto the NFL and are forced to make less money. The entire system is corrupt as a motherfucker

I am at the who cares point... this 6 week off crap after a conference championship game is just the most stupid stupid thing ever... I mean, hell spring practice is in what about 8 weeks or so.... come on man... JAN 1 should be when the game should be played... period...get rid of at least 30 bowls is another thing that should happen...have the best 8 teams play in the playoffs from each super conference and settle that way... home field advantage just as the NFL does it...
for best record or winning division... make the conference championships the *playoffs* with the winners moving into an elite 8?? then the next week cut down to semis... then the finals... easy...

Now that's the funniest shit I've read in a longggg time, beside's Deano's rants that is. If Boise or TCU played in the SEC after 3 games in a row of Bama, LSU, then Florida, they'd be wishing like a motherfucker that they were back in the WAC! SEC has future NFL players playing, does Boise or TCU? I didn't think so either.

That's a great fucking post! Agree word for word. College football is such a bore because the level of competition between the 1,000 Conferences with a mix and match of bad and worse teams set up to play 2,000 bowl games that noone BUT the creator of the bowl games gives a fuck anyhow. I mean come on, the "Salt and Vinegar Lay's Potato Chip Bowl!" Oh boy, can't wait for this one, what score you got their chief? 70-65? Going to be AWESOME!

Whatta joke.

Dean, while your previous remark concerning the excitement of college football is very accurate Im afraid your wrong with the last of this post. Cam Newton will win this game....

this is just a stupid statement. TCU nor BSU would even be invited, it would be like adding more Vanderbilts and Kentuckys to the conference. In the SEC I assure u TCU would not be undefeated right now.

how proud u must be, wishing for a career ending injury to a college athlete. Do you go to high school games and wish for spontaneous combustion to the opposing QB?

Yep...at the very least, I hope he totally tanks in this game. He is a poor excuse for a scholar-athlete. Totally on the take. Thinks he is bigger than the game, and above reproach. Typical SEC thinking....

what a douchebag. Instead of hating the SEC so much you wish bodily harm to young men why dont you encourage your homer school and conference to do something to step up and close the gap on the difference between them?
