If you attend one of their shows, they give them away like candy. Have you checked the CD case at the counter of your local gas station? Right next to Styx, BTO, Bad Finger, and the Constuction Worker from The Village People's solo CD...

Granted it seems I may be in the minority here, but I like what I've heard from them.

Dude, be smart about this. Go to Target or Kmart and look in the bargain basement bins. There you will find Dokken, Ratt, Quiet Riot, White Lion, and Mr Big stuff too. All for about 3.95 a piece. Complete shit dude, why waste the money? You're better off getting a twelve pack of natty Ice and have Deb PM you Mr Big songs.

This is 100% honest, and I can only speak for myself, but I've neverseen any cutout Dokken CDs in a bargain bin. I have seen some cheap Dokken greatest hits packages ($5, $10), but no cutouts.

Don't listen to these fools. As you've acquired, they have a great catalogue. And are an awesome live band. Can't wait to see them throw down some of the new ones LIVE, like this one......I just know I'm going to be watching in awe at this talented quartet!

As for Actual Size, I had a hard time finding it too, I think that was the one I got off of Ebay. Timstar will disagree with me here, but it's not one of my favorites of theirs. I probably listen to that cd the least, love Shine and Suffocation though, especially Shine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMIsvL1MAQg Out of the two Kotzen era cds, I like Get Over It much better. Timstar might be able to help you more. But if not let me know...........

LOL, after Paul I lost track of MB for a while, I actually pretty much missed the whole Kotzen era, until more recently. Kinda like I did with Journey after '86.

Couldn't agree more! I haven't been excited about a Brian Adams song for at least 10 years.

timstar78 wrote:Yeah, I do Deb. I really like "Actual Size," and prefer it to "Get Over It." It's probably my favorite MB album after the S/T and "Lean Into It." I prefer Paul Gilbert, but I thought Richie Kotzen was a good fit for the band, and especially liked his and Eric's blend on the vocals. If you have to replace a player of Paul's caliber, Richie is certainly not a bad choice. The guy is a sick guitarist, a good singer in his own right, and a capable writer (he wrote "Shine" with Richie Zito.)
timstar78 wrote:The first four songs are excellent. Love the 7/4 bits on "Lost In America"; "Wake Up" has killer playing from Torpey/Sheehan and some stellar guitar work from Richie. As far as "Shine," it's one of my favorite MB songs, and Eric's vocal is up there with his best. Funny story, I played it for a friend who had never heard Mr. Big, and he flipped over the song. He swore that it would have been a huge hit had a popular artist at the time recorded it. "Arrow" is an excellent ballad. As for the rest of the tunes, "Suffocation" is a nice jam, and I think "Nothing Like It In The World" is a gem of a track. (On a related note, though not the best circumstances, the 2002 Farewell DVD/CD is a nicely captured recording of this lineup.)
timstar78 wrote:btw - Deb, I've got my ticket to the show in April. Should be a great concert. In the meantime, the new album has been growing on me. "Undertow," "I Get The Feeling" and "All The Way Up" are my favorites.
