Yes, and this was in RESPONSE to Jeremey saying the same kind of comment about SP's voice. I don't see WHY he can't respond the way he did. It was kind of a "tit for tat" kind of thing to me. Not a sucker punch. And Jeremey chose to take it to that level, and now it IS an argument.

Just a quick answer here about how I feel about Jeremey.

I have no real issues with Jeremey before this post or even after being called names. I was not trying to take a cheap-shot at him, I was just replying to his remark about Perry's voice being too high for his taste during that period of Journey. I tried hard like hell to not come off as somebody who is a Jeremey hater. I even tried to add a bit of levity to the post by adding the Assholes remark and Rich the Asshole Guy sign-off. Apparently the levity was lost in translation.

I have read most of Jeremey's posts here and followed his now defunct Rolling Away the Stone blog. I've watched every video that he has posted here. I have never in the past taken a shot at him nor was that my intention in any of the postings here. I do however reserve the right to post my opinions here so long as I do it in a tasteful non demeaning manner. I've taken every shot that has come my way in this thread and tried to add some humor to it by adding it to my sign-off.

I think we're kind of in agreement here, Lynn. And perhaps Jeremey could clarify his "beat down" comment, because I don't think Rich gave anyone a beat down. Jeremey said that Perry was too high (in vocal range ) for him at that time, and Rich countered with the notion that, for his own tastes, Jeremey is too high (and a bit nasally and weak) for him. The difference here is that Jeremey was on topic ... and Rich wasn't. Perry was part of the topic, so Jeremey's opinion is well placed, and Jeremey was not part of the topic, so Rich changing the topic was misguided ... albeit, probably not in malice.

And we ALL know how important it is to stay on topic in all of our threads here on MR I really did not take what he said in malice either. But Jeremey is so shell shocked that he assumes that everyone is just trying to attack him at every corner I guess. We don't need a repeat of the forum above though, where thread after thread gets started to "prove" someone is not what someone else is saying. If he is confident in his own skin, there is no need for that.

SJ if I did not reply in this thread about my opinion of Jeremey's voice in response to his posting here, I would have been calling him out and then attacking him. I wanted neither to call him out or attack him, I just wanted to post my opinion in regards to his opinion about Perry's voice, as his post kinda shocked me since I feel the way I feel about Jeremey's voice.

I will also add that I have been called out by Jeremey in a whole new thread.
