Ok. Who ya got? Pitchers and Catchers in 15 days!

And for those whose team wasn't listed.....well these are the teams that actually have a shot... And in reality only 1-6 really have a shot..

Damn you! I was writing a post about LMA and her Pittsburgh loyalty with the Bucos. The better question is how soon do the fans stop coming to Pirate's games? When does the attendance drop below 8,000? Early May? LOL I love their ballpark and their uniforms though, and they do have some good outfield talent...too bad their pitchers are the equivalent of a couple High School all stars.

To Seano's thread. I tried to get him to break it into AL and NL but.....

So I will go off the board and take Cincinnati in the NL....they have pitching, lots of it, where they can compete with Philadelphia...or come close. Phily is the favourite, but the fave doesn't always win, right?

And while I think Boston is the best team in the AL and most definitely on paper, I will take....Boston, however, I am also taking Toronto to be the Wild Card surprise. Lots of young talent and they hit the cover off the baseball. What is good is the New York Yankees are not that good. I can literally see them finishing 4th in the strong AL East.

So, in conclusion, I will take Boston and Cincinnati in the World Series, with Boston winning 4 games to 2. :(

Predictions for individual stats-

Juan Bautista hits 46 bombs
Chapman hits 106 on the gun
Roy gets 22 wins, Lee 18
Carlos Gonzalez has a huge year in Colorado and gets National League MVP
Alex Rodriguez has equally strong year, but Yankees fourth place finish keeps him from winning MVP, and that honour goes to, Juan Batista

How can you have the Dodgers on the poll but not the Angels?

Phillies are my pick this year. They've got 5 aces in their rotation in Halladay, Oswalt, Hamels, Contraras, and Lee. 3 of those starters can give them quality starts every time out. If the bullpen and starting lineup is even just above average, this team could win 110 this year.

I put most of Pittsburgh's problem on the ownership. Bob Nutting pockets all the money instead of putting back into the team to pay for great talent. When players start getting really good, the bastard trades them off because he's too cheap to give them the pay raise they deserve.

Twins will take the next step... 20 years since the 1991 series against the Braves... baring injuries... and an extreme push by the White Sox or Tigers... Twins should win their division... Have great hitters, but have to shore up their bull pin... If Joe Nathan comes back stronger as the closer... watch out...

Right...20 games over .500 last year, led the league in Runs, Home Runs, batting average, league MVP Votto, and pitching out the ass and, if Dontrell Willis can come back...katie bar the door. Also signed World Series MVP Renteria to back up at shortstop...lucky to reach .500 my ass. These ain't Griffey's Reds anymore, Castellini just commited over $150 Million to payroll in the last month signing Votto, Bruce, Cueto to long term deals.

Are you fucking high? Dontrelle Willis? Seriously? Dude is one of the worse pitchers in the majors and has been for most of his entire career. The Reds definitely have a good team, but if you're hanging your hat on Dontrelle Willis, I would suggest that you actually watch a baseball game one of these days!

He was one of the better lefties in the game for his first four seasons. Something happened, though, and he went all Rick Ankiel all of a sudden.

Gotta be the Red Sox , not only have they signed gonzalez and crawford, but pedroia, beckett, and everyone who got injured will be back. Tampa Bay will be weaker, no Garza.

Little Tommy went to kindergarden
one day wearing a Cubs hat. His
teacher asked him why he was a
Cubs fan. He said, "Because my
parents are." His teacher said,
Thats not good. What would you
do if your parents were drug dealers
and hookers? He replied, "Well
then I would be a White Sox fan."

That's what I was saying,...there is an IF in my post...I know all about Dontrelle John, but the Reds Pitching coach has been giving him props saying he's throwing pretty well in Arizona this winter..as I said, if. The dude could pitch, they say it's anxiety related.

Right, and "If" I could only make the Patriots squad. Sorry dude, but Willis is a fucking train wreck of a pitcher. The reality is that in 8 seasons, the guy has finished with a winning record only twice. His first season was okay and only in 2005 was he an outstanding pitcher. The rest of the time, he's been forgettable. As I said, the Reds are a very good team and shouldn't be overlooked but pounding your chest about Dontrelle Willis is laughable.

Well...I'm not going to be delusional by sticking a hand up for the Giants...but no way do I think the Rangers is that good a team to have another shot going to the W/S. Like the Giants, they had a charmed last season. It'll be tougher this year, as almost every other team in the Rangers division (especially the A's and Angels) have strenghtened themselves in the off-season to challenge for the division title.
