Is it free admission ?! Cause if it is ,,,, nah even then not worth it. M3 Festival blows this weak lineup.

Looks like Journey/Survivor will be rubbing one out on Friday.

And on Saturday, LuvsAugeri is on a date with her silver bullet...

This event will fold up pretty soon with bills like that. I can't imagine there being much of a following for anyone other than Jamison, Augeri and Warrant. But Augeri is seemingly sounding atrocious these days, I think Warrant is still without Lane (which is probably a good thing), leaving Jamison the show's lone true talent and recognized name. But, Euros, just like Japs, seem to have a penchant for shitty music, so this fest of mediocre talent might just hold interest. Though, I must say, Farcry was pretty fucking awesome at MR Fest II.

Wrong. Just because you are a bandwagon music fan, Dan....doesn't mean these groups aren't talented.

Silent Rage, Mitch Malloy, and Kane Roberts are classic melodic rock.

To each his own. I think it's a pretty good lineup.

Far from folding, the festival is going from strength to strength and is now in it's 8th year. The Friday night is already pretty much sold out and the Saturday and Sunday won't be far behind - and the bands were only announced this evening. There are a lot of knowledgeable and discerning melodic rock fans in Europe and the general consensus among them is that this will be a great festival.

Last year I hardly knew any of the bands before the festival but they ALL played out of their skin and put on superb performances. There is good strength in depth in rock music if you look around for it and don't just get hung up on whether they've had chart success or not.

Jimi Jamison, Mitch Malloy, Terry Brock, Steve Augeri, Jeff Paris etc are very talented performers. And new young bands like VEGA have a stunning MR sound.

Sorry Marty. I know you have a hard on for Augeri but he is anything but a good performer nowadays. he is awful. This lineup is atrocious. Dan is right. Who in the Hell is paying these bands to come to this event? It must be someone with deep pockets, because there is NO way admission is covering band's expense to this. There isn't ONE notable band here, even Jamison. Would it be too much to put ONE fucking band on the entire three day bill that someone has heard of?

That is my rant. Now let me ask, what is the admission price for this? What is the attendance(real numbers, not made up shit either), and where is this held? I cannot believe people actually fly out to this "event." Sorry Sean, I know you like this stuff, but the AVERAGE music follower isn't doing handstands and jumping jacks about this lineup.

Behshad was correct, the MR Fest was much better than this and they had lip synchers on their bill!

Marty, how do you seriously say that Steve Augeri is a talented performer? I am serious here. He cannot sing, nor can he write. Not here to jam a scud of his ass, but damn Marty, how can you say this? He is terrible.

The first clip was your average run of the mill melodic rock song. Nothing special, solid vocals, but a song with no hook and a shitty chorus.

The second clip reminded me of a poser version of Winger, and the song, at times, channelled Headed For A Heartbreak, only a far weaker version.

The third clip speaks for itself. Just a garbage song.

Just as I stated earlier, those bands are nothing more than second tier bands that couldn't/can't make it. I wouldn't pay more than $75-$100 total for all 3 days. Can someone please tell me what it's gonna cost if someone wanted to attend all 3 days?

That's fine Sean, and like the last PM I sent you, I amnot going to blindly blast you anymore, BUT, Marty and some others need to questioned about the statement, "Steve Augeri is a great performer." If you like him, fine, say so, but don't say something so fucking ridiculous.

Also, all of those bands combined haven't sold a million albums.

And Andrew and others wonder why Melodic rock isn't thriving, let alone surviving? It's shit, that's why.

About $180 for all 3 days (virtually the same as Drew's). Andrew's show, while somewhat overpriced itself, had a far better lineup. Maybe this one has fucking seats, though.

I drank like a beast the first 2 nights, drank moderately the last night and then had to drive home almost 2 hours after midnight and be at work at 6:30 the next day. I sat my ass down and didn't move all day! My feet were hurting! All worth it, though. What a weekend of fun, laughs and music. Oh yeah, and gambling!

Yeah, you had numerous holsteins jockying for front row status in Elgin. Coupled with some euros with excellent leg stamina who never moved the whole weekend - made for a very tough time trying to get up front. I just weaved my way up front for Pride of Lions and Danger Danger. I didn't give a rat's ass who I got in front of....

Thanks, Marty. That's the thing; I found so many new bands I liked when I went two years ago, which lead to other bands and solo artists; if I want greatest hits, I can listen to Clear Channel radio.

Crazy Debbie and I are in ... looking forward to seeing all you mad Brits again ... and to standing up for 15 hours a day ...

No but really there were some snitty people there who apparently thought they owned that area like real estate   I watched Winger the next night from the balcony so as not to get eaten alive by any of them, lol.
