I wonder if Drewsky will cover this on his front page. Also wonder what he thought about Gary's music.

Empty Rooms

Gary Moore

Loneliness is your only friend
A broken heart that just won't mend
is the price you pay

It's hard to take when love grows old
The days are long and the nights turn cold
when it fades away

You hope that she will change her mind,
but the days drift on and on
You'll never know the reason why she's gone

Empty rooms,
where we learn to live without love

You see her face in every crowd
You hear her voice, but you're still proud,
so you turn away

You tell yourself that you'll be strong
But your heart tells you,
this time you're wrong

You hope that she will change her mind,
but the days drift on and on
You'll never know the reason why she's gone

Empty rooms,
where we learn to live without love.

All alone.

In an empty room

Loneliness is your only friend

Oh, she's gone and you're at the end

R.I.P. Gary Moore- his music is part of the soundtrack of my life; a truly great guitarist. Wild Frontier is one of my favorite albums of all time. A sad loss for music.

The first vinyl of GM I bought, was 'We Want Moore". The storming 'Murder In The Skies' and especially the his live rendition of 'Shape Og Things' made me buy a lot more of his records during the following years. Till today I have been waiting for a gig in my area with a pure hard rock setlist...

Watch this. It is a tremendous joyride on six strings:

Schon guitar?

Postby steveo777 » Tue Feb 08, 2011 5:19 am

In this video, "The Loner", it sure looks like he is playing a Schon Guitar. Is he?

He sang a song for all of use, he held his head up high, and when the notes they did fly we all began to cry, and now I will play a song for all the days you are away, I will look for you to pass this way, and until the day we meet again my heart will be filled with sorrow. RIP Mr. Moore

This song will put you in tears. It's darned-near perfect...one of my all-time guitar faves.

And I'm sure that his close friends now consider this a tribute to himself.

No... no Schon guitar there. Body style is not even close. Jackson guitar I believe.

A beautiful song. I've been watching a lot of his videos on youtube since yesterday- I always payed close attention to his guitar playing, but just really realized that he was a really fine singer too.
