Well it certainly didn't seem like hyperbole to me. It seems like Lynn is frequently saying "that's not what I said" or "that's not what I meant" so forgive me for not (allegedly) reading her mind correctly but apparently a lot of people have trouble with that.

True story. A big black dude at work had been out sick, and he was supposed to bring in a doctors note if he called in sick again, but he didn't bring one. He was fretting about what to tell the attendance counselor, and this guy Keith, who is always screwing with people, told him to tell them that his clitoris was infected. The guy asked what that was, and he said it's that little dangly thing (uvula) in the back of your throat. So the guy went to see the counselor and told him exactly that. They said you could hear laughter coming out of that room for 20 minutes.

I KNOW what I said to him. But thanks. He didn't post what I said though, he posted totally different words. I never said he was a rat or that he had no life. I simply meant that he ENJOYS the gym, like other people enjoy.... eating, watching tv, going to movies... doing OTHER things besides the gym 9 hours a week. Those 9 hours he spends there, I spend doing other things. Not EVERYONE will devote their lives that way to be fit in their 50's, and they shouldn't be insulted for it. He went WAY off the handle over something that wasn't that big a deal or that big an insult. He OBVIOUSLY has issues when it comes to anyone bringing up his "physique". But now that I know he's nuts, I'll be sure to stay away.

You said "not everyone can be "superman" obsessed with their bodies, like 7wishes" and now you're saying he twisted your words by saying that you said "gym rat?" Seriously??? I would say it's the same thing. You then went on to say "who would want to be. There are other things to enjoy in life." I think that strongly implies that 7 has no life outside of the gym.

Besides, 9 hours a week is really not that extreme. I recommend 60 minutes a day 6 days a week to my patients and honestly, it should really be more than that. Our bodies were made to be hunters and gatherers, but we have evolved (parfait will be so proud of me! ) into a society that is very sedentary. I'll save the rest of my obesity epidemic speech for another time. In addition, 7 is a personal trainer, he HAS to be in great shape-who would want to go to a trainer that wasn't in good shape? " You are right, but many people do choose to be in good shape and they should not be insulted for their choices either (the way you insulted 7). I remember ONE incident of me stepping in when it felt like he was going after MG. ONE day that happened. Staying healthy isn't as hard as you're making it out to be (I have plenty of experience with it.) It's just people being god damn lazy! My great grandfather just turned 96, he still runs half marathons. You don't have to stay in the gym for hours on end. Losing the weight might seem hard, but it's not. It's basic physiology and nutrition really - most people knows how to do it too.

Excuses, excuses, excuses is what it is, not to mention abusing your body and greatly increasing the risk of types of cancers, diabetes and joint- and bone diseases. And it's disgusting - I lose my apetite when I see some woman who looks like a medieval book shelf of fat.

Sorry Mike, I just now saw this! The Uvula is that thing that hangs in the back of your throat. I don't miss mine, but I can tell you that it was one BITCH of a surgery to recover from!!! Mine kept getting swollen, so they removed it. It's actually not necessary to have one. Kinda like your tonsils. They just cut it, and stitch it up, but my stitches came out, leaving a flap of skin that they then had to remove. this skin was covering nerve endings, and every time I tried to drink or eat anything, it was VERY painful!!!

I feel much better now though, and thanks for asking.
