Perhaps Perry has a bit more pride in what he was and doesn't need to hang on to wring every last nickel out of "the legacy" like some of the other douches in this band need to do. This notion that Perry owes anyone anything has always been fucking absurd. The dude is a senior citizen at this point in his life, so if he wants to put his feet up and relax, more power to him. His body of work speaks for itself and anyone taking shots at the guy because he simply doesn't want to, or can't physically sing any longer, is clueless. I'm fairly certain that Larry Bird couldn't jump into an NBA game right now, play 30 minutes, and come remotely close to resembling what he was back in the day. That said, it doesn't change his greatness, and Perry's greatness isn't altered one iota because he passes his time watching baseball games.
