Got my gift from Steve !

Postby Liquid_Drummer » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:30 am

Got the gift !

A hand written and singed thank you letter for the question, an Ipod with a personalized inscription on the back that reads " For Mark, thanks from Steve Perry." on the back and an itunes voucher for the Greatest Hits + 5. The inscription was unexpected and a nice suprise.... I didnt own GH +5 as well so cool beans !

Oh and the unreleased demos from the Sullies preloaded on there are very cool....

Just kidding about that last one hehe but someone's rear end clinched for a moment didnt it ?

It wont get much use really and will be kept in its container for the most part. I would like for it to stay in good condition as well as the letter and the thing is small and I would hate to lose it. It is my 1st mp3 player but I just dont listen to music when I am on the go and with my home theater system kicking ass I listen to most everything on it. A great gift and I would lie if i said that it being kept away for the most part is to protect the inscription.

Seriously put that baby in a glass shadow box where it can preserved and viewed, and you can also put the letter in there as well.

Man with this Floyd tribute getting bigger and bigger writing music seems impossible when I cant get Pink Floyd out of my head. PLaying a sold out 1500 seater Saturday night. PLaying the Animals and Wish you were here albums all the way through with bits of Meddle, DSOTM and the wall (with theatrics) thrown in as well as On the Turning Away. We played live on the radio last friday on NPR and people seem to be digging us big time. Someone from freaking Live Nation has a reserved VIP ticket to check us out. What that means I have no clue.

So....

Big show Saturday and possibly the start of tour discussions. OUr title sponsor had put out 15k for radio adds. THey got their money back and hardly had to use any ads because it sold out from the word of mouth of our last show. This has drawn the attention of businessmen and inverstors. Now it gets interesting and a bit scary ! I might be able to make a nice living doing this it things work out which I had really given up on. We'll see eh ?

We are called The Darkside Of The Wall. There are others with the same name. Our promo vid at the bottom of page at is us playing a sold out show of 1500 last year. I do love seeing sold out on the ticket page. Never thought this thing would start taking off like it is. Lot of work though !

Nah nah, it's an audio thing. Steve Singed!!!!!!
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Haha, I nearly felled out of my chair reading that line from LD.
LD, could you (if it's not too much trouble or personal) scan and post that letter? I want to see SP's signature for that profile of his face & nose when he signs as his autograph.
