Like father, like son.
Remember how fucked up his dad used to be? The opening scene from Apocalypse Now, Martin was stoned out of his mind but it came off so well with him and the mirror that Coppola kept it in the film. I think what finally woke him up was when he had a heart attack there in the Philippines during the movie filming.

He should marry Lindsay Lohan, move to Paris like Jim Morrison and then both can both go out in a blaze of dope glory at the same time.

Charlie may think he is "cured" from his addiction (fat chance), but I believe he is still has the same behaviours he did while being addicted to whatever he is addicted to. Charlie needs to know that he is in recovery for the rest of his life. You fight your addiction day by day. You need to alter behaviour patterns. It isn't anything that is just cured with your mind.

And as for the rest of the bullshite from his mouth regarding the tv show. I believe he put a nail in his own coffin, so to speak. With this article going public, Producers and directors might think twice before hiring him for anything.

I about figured this would be the next thing after hearing that radio interview...

Yahoo News wrote:Just hours after Charlie Sheen went on a radio rampage, blasting his bosses at the television show, CBS issued a statement on behalf of the network and "...Men's" production company, announcing they were pulling the show from production of new episodes.

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season," CBS said in a statement late Thursday night.

The chemistry between Charlie~boy and Baby Face John is what makes that show,
it will never be the same. It's a shame ...I hope things change
for him as they did w/his father ...wake up call included, if that's what it takes!! :(

What if this were the 50s? Can you imaging Leave It To Beaver getting canceled because Ward couldn't keep his hands off the hookers and his mouth shut in public?

It doesn't look that way, Charlie looks like he hopped on the rocket sled to hell. Right now he has plenty of time & money to indulge in his addictions. I'm afraid his bottom is going to be death. I hope I'm wrong.

I doubt he will clean up, but instead go down in a blaze. A typical example of a person with too much money, a god complex and lack of control. Right now nobody tells Charlie shit. He's a sad example of when addiction dictates one's life.

It keeps on getting better... he has lost his mind with the way he is being all kinds of public with all this lunacy, between the radio show yesterday and now this... it's like he's just gone mad, half of the rant makes no sense.

TMZ wrote:Charlie Sheen just wrote a sternly worded open letter -- which he's given to TMZ -- addressing the decision to shut down the production of "Two and a Half Men" for the rest of the season.

Charlie Sheen wrote:What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows ... I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words -- imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.

Remember these are my people ... not yours...we will continue on together...

That's not the issue. The issue is that this guy is living a destructive lifestyle, doing drugs and drink to excess. I'd rather not wake up one day and find out that he died from an overdose.

But for nearly 10 years, our culture has tolerated, laughed and celebrated a Pg-13 toned down version of his antics on TV, so much so he was able to negotiate a record setting $1.6+ million per episode pay day...But it's ok when it's fictional, right? Life and art are strangely intertwined...

Honestly, I'm not even a fan of the show. I've seen it a couple of times and it was funny but I don't watch it because it's not something I would want my daughter watching.

Suddenly Mel Gibson and Christian Bale don't look quite so wacky.

Yeah, I just saw there was an earlier TMZ post with something about his "octagon"... I guess he was referencing a previous nonsensical reference.

It's not even about his antics or his lifestyle, really... I mean if that's how he chooses to conduct his personal life, then you know, whatever... but now he's just cost that entire cast and crew their jobs, at least for the time being, and now he's making public threats towards people. THAT is where dude is screwing himself, not to mention messing with other peoples' lives.

ahhhahahaha, that was fuckin' funny...he had some other batshit moment too where he said something to the effect "I've got magic in my fingers, lightning in a bottle..." about his creativity - he's just playing himself on his show...and last I checked his movie career wasn't so happenin' - however, I like the idea of graduating to HBO or some other outlet

When Martin breaks the mirror with his fist he's having an onscreen nervous breakdown.

They should call Estevez. I think he's free.
He's got the DNA, and less likely to run off on a hooker binge every other week. It's a win-win.

That would be an interesting twist. Estevez guest--starred in one episode and his character "died" but he wasn't playing his brother. Maybe if Emilio showed up as a cousin?

Honestly, Jon Cryer cracks me up. I think the dude could carry his own show.

Uh, right... Go eat your muffin.

He is the only reason Two and a Half Men ever hit big, and thus is responsible for giving everyone involved a lot of money. Good for him if he doesn't like to take shit from some director. So he got a big ego and likes to have fun - good for him!
