with some benefit of some games already decided, which has screwed your bracket up...not sure, as this can go any way.

OSU and Syracuse have the best potential for the east bracket unless somehow UNC finds a way to get hot for one night to beat that zone (unlikely).
Duke & UConn/San Diego St (haven't seen much of either, but edge to Calhoun) out of the west
Kansas and Notre Dame/Purdue on southwest
and no idea on the the southeast, although Pitt seems to have some amount of luck. Don't think KState is consistent enough to give them much credit, but anything is possible. Bottom half could go either way, since I had Michigan State taking out a few...

so that leaves...
OSU
?? (can Duke handle UConn even with Irving without a legit big? Also, how effective will Irving be and team chemistry issues?)
Kansas
Pitt

Kansas can take Pitt
the question is what happens on the OSU/UConn/Duke front

Been busy and my bracket was busted in the 1st round thanks to the louserville cardinals! Losing to Morehead st., geez! Anyway, I did lose another one, that was the Old Do. vs Butler game. I thought the #1 rebounding team in the nation would at least win one game, which they should have, the officiating in this game was
the worst of the opening round. I'm so glad, and I never pick them cause I hate them, to see Michigan St. get bounced, thank you Bruins! I cannot stand Izzo and they shouldn't have even made the tourney. Notre Dame, when they play someone who plays tough & makes them shoot something other than a set shot, will lose. Get Hansbourgh in foul trouble & they are toast. My final four goes like this:

Kansas
Duke
Ohio St.
Florida

I have Duke playing Kansas in the final

Kansas over Duke
79-73

By the way, if Florida wasn't playing Kansas in semi's, Florida would be my other semi...Go you fucking gators!

Clemson and Louisville were bracket busters for me, and I lost TWO Final Four teams in Louisville and St. Johns. The Johnnies just got smoked, Moorehead St got that lucky 3 against L'ville. And Clemson? Don't get me started on the selection commitee. Putting them in the FIRST game of the tournament, after they just played 36 hours prior? Ridiculous.

Most of my bad choices won't end up harming me, other than L'ville and St. Johns, because I had them losing in the next rnd anyway. I went 11-5 yesterday. I usually go 11-5, 12-4 on day one anyway. The safe way is to go chalk. I went half chalk, half upset. I only fill out one bracket.

Getting ready to watch Oakland bully Texas. That kid Benson is a beast!

That must of been a helluva comeback MSU almost pulled off. Not getting it done hosed me as I had them into the Sweet 16, along with Louisville.

Got all the 1 seeds in the final 4, with KU beating OSU. Not real comfortable with it though.

Tennessee never had a chance after the news broke the other day that Pearl will likely get fired. Sad for the team, but you do not lie to the NCAA.

well, that is true. Discounting the massacre today, Tennessee plays hard, but not smart. Duke plays hard and smart--ie, they don't defeat themselves. That's why they are hard to defeat, and a lot of the reason they won last year. If they had consistent post presence, they would be even harder to defeat.

Between youth, and a general inability to be consistent on 3pt shots, I find it unlikely that Carolina is going to get past that Syracuse zone. I'd like to be proven wrong, but those are two big issues with UNC winning everything. Talent is great, but you need talent and experience to win big in March.

Went 11-5 yesterday. So now I've gone 22-10 over first(2nd) round. My bracket is busted, but Duke is still in it - and hardly anybody has them winning it all. So....

I'm loving me some Joe Mazzulla(WVa.) right now....

That's the Big LEast for ya. Great in the regular season, folding like a cheap suit in the tourney. Pitt, WVa., Louisville, Georgetown, St. Johns, Villanova, and Cincinnati...SEE ya later! 7 out of 11 teams ousted in the first THREE days....so much for the supposedly best conference.

Exactly....you didn't watch the first half. Washington had an 11 point lead. Then the refs called liked 7 fouls in a row against Washington. The first half foul breakdown was 12-2 in favor of UNC.

Washington had halftime leads in PF, rebounds, and inside points....but UNC only called for TWO fouls in first half? When was the last time ANY team only commited TWO fouls in a half, and the game was played in NC....
