What??

 I don't mean sharp as in academically brilliant, but more like 'Holy crap, I can't believe they got that comment past the censors!'  .

Now that I think about it, do the networks even have censors anymore? I watched some old interviews with the cast of The Golden Girls and they noted how they got a lot more topics and comments past the censors because it was a show about older women and a different show probably would not have gotten away with some of the things they did. Nowadays, except for nudity and a few choice words, I'm not sure there are any restrictions.

I'm no saint. But it kind of pisses me off how filthy regular network TV is these days. There doesn't seem to be any limits on what can be said. And a lot of the sex jokes on TV these days are just boring as hell, not even remotely funny.

My favorite current show, hands down, is Weeds. Totally disfunctional, disgusting (in some cases), wacked-out group of characters, very dark comedy. Not a family show or for prudes  . We don't get Showtime so I'd never seen it - but recently I've managed to watch all 6 seasons online in a span of about a month - it's addicting! (And that's really the way to watch any serial TV show - all at once!). Can't wait for season 7, although I understand it's the final season.

I lost track when they opened that clothing store with the tunnel....it turned soap opera-ish...I love Celia, Kevin NEALON's character, and the brother...lol.

Yeah, but it got better again after that season. Agree on those characters, especially Doug (Nealon's character)

(and if you never saw the scene where Andy's toes get bitten off by the Pit Bull - look it up on YT - one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Yeah, I have a sick sense of humor for a girl, so I'm told  )
