Good list. But seems to be lacking Lzzy Hale (Halestorm. My current favorite.)

I will be left out in the cold here, but I have to say Madonna since I own almost every single piece of music she has ever put out, and her concerts never disappoint, except her vocals weren't great on the last one and the concert lacked the depth of previous tours. But she's in a midlife crisis since hitting her fifties and divorcing and having too much plastic surgery and having boy toys, so I hope her music doesn't reflect her midlife crisis and trying to be inappropriately trendy on the next album.

My favorite rock star is Stevie Nicks. I have always loved her in the band and as a solo artist. Love Bella Donna and Other Side of the Mirror.

At least people have heard of yours.  Amanda and Lee Aaron both have extremely powerful voices and when they just let it rip have some of the best tone and rock delivery I've heard besides Anne.

LOL But I get flack for Madonna, unless I'm talking to gay male friends or all my female friends who love her and grew up with her music. Though, I have to say I did have a male client whose wife dragged him to the Re-Invention Tour in 2004, and he told me he will never diss Madonna again. He said the concert was brilliant and not all light pop like he thought it was going to be and was shocked at how good her vocals were, save a few off notes, and he said she was absolutely tireless on stage and dedicated to giving the fans their money's worth.

Gotta go with Ann (runner-up: Stevie). Pat is awesome, too.

I like Lana, too. She's more or less Ann-Wilson-Part-Deux.

I agree....but that her orchestral sound gets trying at times....and she is hit and miss.

Her Stargazer, Starrider, and Court of the Crimson King are amazing

Some really great female vox listed!!
For me it's not only about the great vox, but
the emotional delivery! If you've got soul, if
you can touch my heart with your delivery, I
consider that great!! e.g. Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks
are not great voices, but man can they produce a
soulful delivery, I love them!! I don't care
how great the voice, if you can't deliver, it means
nothing to me.

My hands down fav is Ann, she has it all ...she still gives me
goosebumps, brings tears to my eyes and rips my heart out!!

I'm not a country fan, but Wynonna is fantastic, when she
rocks out ...geeezuz, would love to see her cross over
to the wild side and never look back!!
