Fantastic. Arnel always shines on SW. I can't wait to hear Silvio's review. It's fun to hear from everyone on here from other countries, like last year in Paris and so forth.

That's pretty much what I meant in my first post. They should have been doing South America since the 70's. Oh Well!! What I found amazing was the fact that for a band that has never toured there when everyone else does; the crowd still knows all the music. At least the DD!! I just found that fascinating.!! Also, the fact that several of the press annoucements/reviews mention Never Walk Away along with the hits. :?

They love their Journey, regardless to who's singing.... Obviously not the same size crowd, but you can hardly hear Augeri like you can hardly hear Arnel over the crowd.

Comparing Augeri's crowd to Journey would be like comparing Journey's Crowd to Rush or Iron Maiden's. Still, the sentiment is there, the people love the music and know their dirty dozen lyrics.

Don, that was the point, the crowd, not comparing the size of the crowds. Obviously, like I pointed out...two different worlds....

Remember, there are fans down there hoping for songs from ROR also. If you look past the international band label Jon is touting as some recent development, you'll see Journey has always been in those markets, just not as a touring act. Nothing stopped them from going to these places from1998 onward. The demand has always been there so they can't blame the last decade of no concerts down south on Perry, they have to look at their own management team for that one..

Boy these guys sure suck and the audience totally knows it. Man, in 3 months, Arnel will be toast and the band will be begging JSS to come back. Boy he's probably lipping. He just doesn't grab me and he's without soul

Hate to say I told you so gang, but the guy's got the goods and he is (just like last tour) KICKING A$$.

What am I saying, I LOVE to say I told you so!

This is how America used to react to Journey. It's very nice to see this again. It'd be great if SP was there, but he's not there personally, just his songs. Good luck to them. Great job Arnel.

Over in America, we'll mostly yawn and sit on our hands. Basically, because Americans seem to have lost the knowledge of what good music is. Maybe if the band dressed up in Lady Gaga outfits... too bad.

The crowd seems as cool as the fans were during Arnel's debut in Chile back in 2008 or the crowd at Donnington in 2009. Journey proves once again that the music they wrote in the 80s is timeless.

And no matter how well the band does or does not do, you'll won't even entertain the fact that they've moved on. You have to give AP some credit. HUGE shoes to fill and he's doing a great job. He's not a replacement, duh. But what he brings is a great set of pipes. So I don't understand the hate.

I don't understand why you think I hate AP? I really don't hate anyone.

I get that we don't have the same opinion on the current line up...who knows it might grow on me.

I am going to buy Eclipse, just like I bought Revelation.....I might even attend a concert this time around.

My eye roll was more about the "I told you so" comment.

Because you've never given the guy an ounce of credit and do everything you can to dog the guy. Whatever. I sure won't change your mind. Just get tired of people griping over the slightest nuance and because he's not Steve Perry. Not fair to the guy.

Wow, what a clip, and yes, Arnel has become a rock star. on related note, I see that Kevin Shirley's FB status was "On my way to Brazil", I wonder if they Canned their mixer and KS is out Mixing them on this tour. Does he do that? the Live thing? Maybe he was out to record the show, or for a visit? I wonder if we're going to get a Live recording from these shows? the band sounds pretty electrified and charged by this crowd.
