For old fuckers like me and Maui Tom. It's suggested that you put your legs above your head for 10 minutes a day. Some of the blood in your legs never gets to get out of there and can die. Your body will do it's thing and dispose of it, but that takes away from your body's ability to fight off other things.
Put your legs up for 10 minutes a day and give your immune system more fire to fight other shit.
