Here is one of my favorite MR moments:

And BOTH headliners are major national acts.

Night Ranger???

Declined and haven't heard from them since. They are off my Christmas card list.

To show how much of a good person I am and loyal fan of this site I am, I took it upon myself to relay this message for you to Kelly Keagy on Saturday night after the Jim Peterik and World Stage show. I don't think HE was too happy either. You may not be getting a Christmas card from him too.

Tell me you are joking.

And if you aren't, you are the biggest halfwit, dumbass, ignorant tool that I currently have the misfortune of dealing with.

I just had one of my headliners pull a dirty stunt on me and I'm pulling them from the show - and I have just contacted Night Ranger to make a revised offer for this show. So if you did actually do this, you have fucked me three ways from Sunday.

That comment was said in jest several weeks ago and you had no right to do this.

Andrew,

I'm joking. I did not even talk to Keagy. I left immediately after the show was over. When you made this comment a couple of weeks ago, I stored it away and knowing I was going to see Keagy soon, I figured it would be a good joke to pull on you. It worked, although sorry if I gave you a heart attack.

I assume I'm not any of the following: biggest halfwit, dumbass, ignorant tool that I currently have the misfortune of dealing with. Right?

Thanks Tito. Excuse the outburst. I'm a little stressed over this show right now. Cheers....

Remember when Linda started a nice thread about supporting MR and Andrew,,,

DrFU wrote:There is a new link at the very bottom of the Melodicrockfest 2 page for folks to use if they want to sponsor the show by making a donation:

http://www.melodicrockfest.com/

If you are going to the show and want to contribute something beyond your ticket purchase, or if you can't go but would like to support the cause, this new link is the one to use.

Every $1 that goes toward underwriting the cost of putting on the show turns into $1 of profit that will allow Andrew to keep our favorite watering hole up and running.

And how somebody turned it into a 10 page feud :

Blueskies wrote:Nope, I won't support it. I didn't think he should put on another MRFest to begin with as I've thought from the start it won't be as successful as he needs it to be. I think he should move on with his writing and other things he wants to do and let all this go....just my opinion...but I wish him well with it and in no way do I feel others should not support him in this venture and/or support this site if they so choose.

All you do is run around passing judgment on others, starting altercations, retiring(yeay) then unfortunately come back. You have a lot of nerve to come in here on a positive thread by Linda, someone who obviously cares about the Cause and piss all over it. I think I can pretty much speak for all of us when I say Go fuck yourself.

But to announce it the way you did and trying to make it seem like all Andrew's hard work is a waste of time , it totally wrong!
You may not support this simply because you dont like to attend any of his shows, since you have a hard time making friends here. But I think I speak on behalf of everyone else here when I say "WE WILL SUPPORT ANDREW AND HIS WEBSITE/FORUM/SHOWS ".....

You imply things that aren't even there in what I said due to the fact that you don't know me at all. I think you missed the part where I wished him well with this. I just don't see how it will keep things going long term at all and I also think he should branch out with his writing and other ideas like he talked about doing in the past. In no way is anything I said a wish for him to fail at this or anything else. I also said others should support this effort if they choose.

P.S. I didn't come here with the need to make " friends" I came here from the start to voice my opinions as all others. If you don't like what I have to say and don't like me for it that's your choice.

No one came here with the need or intentions to make friends, but its only natural to make friend , no matter what kind of social network you become a part of. I can see why this could be hard for you to fathem though.

And in regards to voicing opinions, here is mine :

So you post on here and participate in a music forum where in the same breath you're TELLING Andrew you think he should let this place go and that you won't support it and help him to make a profit and keep afloat? :? I'm confused. So you don't care if these music forums are around anymore?

I didn't TELL him to do anything I simply gave my opinion as everyone does. Some are of the opinion that another Fest was a good decision, I simply disagree and don't see it really giving him a long term benefit. I hope it does though and wish him success. Just because I don't support the idea doesn't mean I feel anyone else should not or don't hope it works out to his benefit. In my opinion I do feel he has suggested there are other things he wants to do beside's this site so maybe he should continue to persue what he really wants to do regardless if y'all want this playground or not. If y'all care so much about Andrew you wouldn't think about what you want and would want him to follow his dreams too. .....thats all I meant. If this is really what he wants to continue to do and rely on then thats fine too. As I said, I wish him well.

Sometimes to follow your dreams you need money. Writing doesn't bring in the paycheck he may need to feed his family. Think about it. He can write as a side hobby and hope to make money, but he needs a sure deal and steady income too. Why am I even TRYING to explain this. Nevermind. Your opinion will not change how most feel, and that is grateful and thankful for the site, the friends and Andrew for all he does to keep this going.

Sometimes following ones dream's is a struggle and at time's a hardship and sacrifices have to be made. Guess it depends on how much someone wants something and what they are willing to sacrifice for it. If the drive to do something is strong enough they will do whatever it takes to try to succeed. Many people have started the path to their dreams with little to nothing to begin with as well as care for their responsibilities. For one example here....Jeremey probably could be making a more stable living if he had stayed in a comfort zone in the business world but he chose to go with his passion and sing full time instead. Is it risky? Sure, but there are risks in everything, even in what is perceived as less risky. I also think that If JSS was more about money rather than following his heart he probably would have made different choices along the way and would be more well known in the states, maybe. Perry could have kept plugging along instead of "retiring" and kept more in the spotlight but he opted out. It's all about choices and what someone is willing to do and what they are willing to do without to make them.

Well thank god. Been waiting weeks for that post.

Hey, guys, you can all book your airfare now, we got Phil's permission.

Sorry, just a little sarcastic humor there, because I have as much right as everyone else around here to make jokes.

My bad too, as I guess I should ask y'all's permission before I post and maybe even get a few to editorialize what I write before I post it to see if it's going to raise any hackles and bare anyone's claws.

That would be rather helpful, yes. :D Thanks for being a team player. Please direct all of your posting permission requests to Behshad and Dean. Hopefully they will see that your words make it to the board in a timely manner. And by timely manner, I mean never. Good day, sir. 8)

If anyone here would be a sir it would be you as you talk exactly like a man. Well, I shouldn't say all men as all men aren't as fowl mouthed as you can be. Good day to you too! 8)

Noted. And ask me if I care. Ask all of the very good friends of mine here if they care. They don't. Now... what was that lie you told earlier about you never coming here and starting up with people and calling names... but since you think I have such a terrible foul mouth, then it won't matter if I join in with Behshad and tell you to screw off.

And if you're going to insult people, at least spell it correctly. I know books weren't invented yet when you went to school, but we have them NOW. Jeesh.
I haven't called you a name at all but you choose to twist things to make an excuse to do so. Manners weren't taught way back when you were in school? I started with no one, simply stated my opinion on the topic and y'all came in to pile on as usual. Is this attack game you play on the net your only activity? since you are on here 24/7 I tend to think so. Go outside once in awhile and get some fresh air, it will do wonders for you and maybe even improve your attitude. I really do have to go now so do have a good afternoon and try not to target anyone else and play nicer with others. 8)

A shocking comment from Saint John back when both Jeff and Jeremey were let go ;)

Saint John wrote:Since we're all giving our opinions here, I'll give mine. Jeff and Jeremey both got treated unprofessionally. In Jeff's case, he was treated like an enemy rather than a friend. How a group of individuals could treat someone they consider a friend like THAT is mind boggling. It just makes no sense. Jeremey's treatment was more on par with what I'm used to from these guys. Jeremey wanted a little time to step back, think of all parties involved, how this would affect his family, and make a proper decision with the required time something so big would require. However, he didn't realize that Journey would NEVER be interested in someone that isn't in awe of them. Someone that might actually put family ahead of money. That certainly sealed his fate.

In the end, everyone loses. Journey loses out on the 2 best choices to front the band and Jeff and Jeremey are denied the proper time to receive the exposure they need and the time it would require to accumulate a fan base. My prediction is Jeremey will continue his 9 to 5 job and his very successful Frontiers band. Jeff will tour a bit, put on some great shows, but ultimately continue to fly under the radar as an artist. Both guys lost out way more than Journey, as they can't ride Steve Perry's coattails like the pseudo-Journey can. And that's what sucks most.

Ahem... I seem to recall someone going to a DDY concert wearing a Tommy Shaw shirt... someone that kept yelling shit to Dennis while he was trying to play onstage, and disrupted the whole show. He was even followed into a bathroom by Glenn Burtnick who then cussed him out. Do you know where we could find this person?

I remember saying that! :) What's funny is how Soto (Mr. "Thick Skin") came out and jumped my ass about that post. Some silly bullshit about "Watch me soar!"  The guy has been relegated to narrating duties with TSO. That's about as important and/or prestigious as Lurch was in The Addams Family or Spot was in The Munsters. As for Jeremey, it's hard to decipher what really went down. In the end, though, I don't think Jeremey's voice could have handled the touring schedule and Soto just wasn't a good enough voice or band mate. Both decent enough fellas, but not the right fit. Journey got the game changer that they needed.

You know what fuckstick? Get over yourself, and your post count. Cause I don't give a fuck.

I was trying to be funny.

I got one question for ya.... What village are you depriving of an idiot?

You may be able to bully most of the people around here, but you won't succeed with me.

In the future, please refrain from responding to any posts of mine. Cause obviously the jump from the little kids table to the adult table was too much of a stretch for you.

YOUR KIND is what is wrong with sites like this. You little poisonous piece of smeg. It must be quite a thrill to hang out here and try and inflate your shell of an ego by demeaning others and their opinions.

Get over yourself, and your inadequacies.....

Yep....we'll get on fine because I won't take any of your shit.

You reacted like I questioned your manhood, or womanhood by including a Wink

But didn't you include one in a previous post in this thread?

I'm fully aware of messageboard/group dynamics. They're all the same.

And I'm very much familiar with posters of your ilk. There IS a pecking order here. A very poorly disguised one.

See with posters like you, everyting has to be 100% correct in a post. Cause you'll pick out any error in grammar, syntax, or logic.

You will dissect opinions, and demean the poster. All in the name of proving that you are the alpha male, and thus, superior.

And you may have others mesmorized, but the ruse is old.

So feel free to crawl up on your soapbox, and opine.....cause obviously your main objective is to sift through these threads and snipe at people.

You, my friend, are the cliche'

First of all....when you are trying to defend your actions, please don't backpeddle to save face.

You jumped all over my tip because I inserted the 'wink', and it must have insulted your gender.

The fact is that you are a hypocrite, plain and simple. You took offense to the 'wink', but used one yourself. Again, do I need a certain post count, or special clique membership card to joke around?

I get along best with honest, genuine individuals. So far, you are O for 2.

I've got your little game down to a science. When shit doesn't go your way, you go seek(post) in threads that house your closest allies. And then one of them strokes your ego, and everything's right for awhile....that is until that itch becomes too much for you to bear - and then it needs scratching.

Then you leave the comfy confines of those warm, fuzzy threads, where your fanclub resides - only to seek out those posts that don't quite live up to your standards.....

You are a firstclass bully, sir......you are a weak little person who needs CONSTANT approval and reassurance...

Well you will get neither from me.....

I tried to find the original posts, but I guess the 51 pages wasn't enough to go back....this was my first battle with (?) when I first joined in June of '08....

This is only my side.....

Saint John wrote:I remember saying that!

He's not the narrator, he's the main soloist on the West tours. Probably playing to about the same amount of people Journey is. Gotta love how you pull these so called facts out of your ass. Also having the freedom/creativity to do his solo work in between. Yep, life must suck for him. And like you have the slightest clue what kind of bandmate he was?

Semantics. If your last name isn't Pitrelli, O'Neill, Kinkell or Oliva, you're just a small part of a very big show. Like Spot and Lurch were. Doesn't mean they weren't good role players or good parts of the show, though.

But Journey performs for the audience for a little longer than 10 minutes.

Yeah ... like opening up for wrestlers in dive bars. Regardless, I see the guys in Journey doing the same. Neal toured with his lame band, Jon worked with his daughter, Arnel sang every song ever written back home, Deen had a metal project and Ross ... smoked cigarettes.

I don't believe I ever said it did or implied as much.

Most of what I needed to see to form an opinion was done right here for everyone to see. Other things are best kept close to the vest and not for public consumption.

LOL your comments like that always crack me up. Unless you've actually spoken with Jeff or one of the Journey band members on this, you haven't the faintest clue.......it's all just conjecture and opinion.

 Talk about breaking down every sentence of my post......what?! no comment on the "talking out of your ass"? :P

Wrongo! But I wouldn't pull the man's private life out into the open. I'm better than that and he doesn't deserve it.

So you've actually talked to one of the party's directly involved then?
