Scorpions To Re-Record Classic Hits

Postby Voyager » Fri Apr 08, 2011 10:17 pm

Andrew just posted this on Facebook:

Scorpions to re-record and release album of past hits, due out later this year. Farewell tour continues into 2012.

Let's just hope they don't try to re-record the hits with a karaoke singer like Journey did!

It'll be cool to hear the comparison to what Klauss has left now versus 20-30 years ago. Awesome idea. Along with DIO, Stanley and Zander, Klauss is one of the true legends of music because he has been able to do it so well for so long.

Much like the vocalists Dan posted, Klaus has really kept his pipes through the years. His voice does sound more mature, but he still has the power.

Amazing to think that he'd screwed up his singing voice before Blackout was recorded, and Don Dokken had to stand in for him in the studio. Interesting how they have some similarities in their voices.

Speaking of Dokken, Dude should bow his head in shame over that re-recorded trainwreck known as Greatest Hits.

I don't think any of the classic bands should re-record ANYTHING!!! If you don't have any NEW music to record, just go on tour or retire already.
