Oh, go ahead and admit it... YOU WERE WATCHING IT WITH HER.

Actually, I have watched a few of the episodes this year if for no other reason because I couldn't believe what I was hearing coming out of the TV when it was on. Once they got through with the auditions (which I think is pretty funny most of the time) and started to eliminate people, I couldn't believe how genuinely terrible some of these kids were. It got to the point that I'd end up going into wherever she was watching the show to see who was making my ears bleed! It got to the point I started watching just the results episode just to see which one I'd never have to hear again.

Somewhere along the line, I came to appreciate just how much more talented and potentially incredible Pia is. If I had a million guesses I would have never picked Pia as the one who would get the boot last night. And just like anyone who has watched enough of the show to see how much better all around Pia is than all of the other contestants, I was completely stunned.
But getting back to your ...ahem... accusation,

as it turns out, I was installing some new cabinets in my garage at the time and had actually forgotten it was even on last night, when I walked through and saw Iggy basically doing a lot of air humping and squirming around the stage. I wish I would have had a camera to capture the look on my daughter's face when I walked through.
Me: Is that.... that's Iggy Pop.
Her: You KNOW that guy?!
Me: Yeah, he's been around forever. He's got to be in his 60's by now,
Her: (with a look of utter disdain and complete disgust) That's just friggin' gross DAD! (Like it was MY fault!!) LMAO!
Her: So he's a rocker or something?
Me: Yeah, pretty much. He's...
Her: Figures! (gets up and leaves the room)
Teenage daughters are simply the best! I recommend them to anyone looking to completely lose their sanity and likes to walk around shaking their heads in disbelief at the pure wisdom and genius that goes on inside the mind of a 17-year-old. It's just a privilege to witness on a daily basis!
