I'm a Fan, but I think Bon Jovi is Full of Crap

You can't even post on their official forum anymore without paying a min of $50. I don't remember if that is for a year or more. Way, way, way back in the day I was a member of Jon's fan club Back Stage With JBJ, but I don't remember being the big money racket that it is now. I am all for making money, but I think it is a very poor way of relating to your fans, especially in these trying days.

When Genesis's website got taken over by a company, they saw fit to make fans pay to post too....it is such a crock. I haven't been a member since '07. I refuse to pay to post.

i'm a huge fan of Journey here and also KISS.thank goodness both places are great and let all the members post for free.i don't think Jon Bon Jovi quite understands what it is like for the common working man especially in a bad economy like we are having now.i think he is cheating a lot of his fans with this bad decision.

Bon Jovi's Facebook page is good enough for me. It's actually that way for a lot of bands now where FB is the happening place. Why go to their regular site?

I feel like a forum is more initimate, but maybe that is just me. It really the principle more than anything. I paid (rather my mother paid  ) a good deal of money for my BJ addiction back in the day. I wanted to see how much their VIP packages costs . OUT OF MY REACH TO BE SURE. But you have to join their site and pay $5o min just to see the pricing....
