I don't usually give a rip about celebrity gossip crap. But this IS history being made. And I would hope most would find things about history being made important. It is something I have to know as far as current events. Now do I care about the cut of her dress, or the designers who did this or that? NO.

Sorry your life is in the can. I may be poor, but I have a job, a house, and a fulfilling career. I am just starting to do all the things I always wanted to do. 15 minutes to watch a news event won't destroy my life.

I don't think these people are better than me, I don't really look up to them,
but it is a Historical event, so I have watched it all.

I even cried at some points.

The top of her dress is like my Mother's wedding dress - 1957.
My Mum loved the Royal family, so she'd have watched this today and loved every minute - but she passed away in 2007.
So I cried because she can't be here.
And I sobbed when I saw the wedding dress.

I thought Tara Palmer Tompkinson looked AMAZING!

Victoria Beckham looked as miserable as always.
And her husband wore his OBE medal on the wrong side.
Bloody plebeans. No idea of Protocol.

I thought Kate's sister [the Maid of Honour] also looked stunning.

Very classy girls.

I love to see well dressed, elegant women.

Caught bits of the wedding while I was getting ready this morning, and totally agree.......I thought Kate's dress was gorgeous. With the little bit of deep neckline and all the lace, it was elegant and yet a tad sexy too. But those hats of Fergie's daughters'....didn't like at all.

Ha,did not know that.
Didn't know Becks was ,but took a wild guess. But you would think he should know about where to place the OBE.
Now,I think David was getting dressed by himself today,I am sure Willy had a cast of 20 helping making sure everything followed protocol to a T.
Anyways, all the best to the newlyweds.

A thing that has impressed me with William (and Harry) is that they have trod the path of there father and uncles in having to serve in the military, and done it ungrudgingly. William was scrubbing toilets in the beginning but went from that to helping build infrastructure in poor countries to piloting rescue helicopters over the last few years. People saying that this kid hasn't done a day's work in his life don't know what they are talking about. These boys used to get dragged around by their mother from the slums of London to shanty towns in India, doing menial tasks like serving in soup kitchens and digging water wells. In spite of being born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouths,They are not slouches in any sense of the word.

Kate's dress reminded me of Grace Kelly, very well done in keeping it understated and not adding needlessly to the overall spectacle of the ceremony.

I disagree...(surprised? lol) When you don't have to worry when your next meal is coming, or where you are sleeping tonight - takes a huge load off your mind, and lets you enjoy what you are doing(whatever that is)....Hey, if I didn't have to worry about money for the rest of my life - I wouldn't bat an eye at cleaning toilets, or mopping floors....these kids are privileged. What would be tough for ME to handle would be constantly in the spotlight.

Having money allows a person to do what they want, rather than what they have to do.....huge difference. If I had money I'd finally get to work at something I enjoy doing....

Nothing to disagree about. I was able to receive a pension at the age of 37. Should I feel bad because others aren't as fortunate, not at all. Harry has made a career of the military. He doesn't have to work at all but he chooses to so.
What are you exactly finding fault with when it comes to these two guys? Because they weren't born poor? That's asinine.

I'm not finding fault with them at all....you misunderstand my point. Kids who have money - yet still work, shouldn't be canonized. They are nothing extra special. It just seems like they don't have that added stress of HAVING to work, and working at a job they do not like....they have the added luxury of choosing how to spend there lives....tis all.

Disagree, with that kind of spotlight constantly on them, they really DON'T get to choose how they spend their life. Harry maybe more so as he could go further in the military as William's life is pretty mapped out for him. I remember when Harry was here for months doing military training......there would be the random pic show up in the paper of him out at a night club having a good time. Probably cuz nobody knew he was here until after.

Working isn't something one has to do out of necessity. It's as much about personal fulfillment and reaching whatever goals one have, as well as contributing to society.

Agreed. And I've been laughing all day at the people who claimed they don't care to see any of this, yet they have been talking about it and know details, etc.
