I think he's just gotten to big for his britches lately. He looks like he's trying to hard to look cool, completely unnatural......LOL kinda a turn-off. Go back to your more natural stage presence Jonnyboy.......... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTfZSDEfZd0 ahhhh those were the days! 8)

Yet somehow he's still on top  ,I don't get it either jovis last 4-5 albums barely have anything worth listening to (at least for me, they are very weak). Whatever he's doing it's allowing him to go thru the motions and make some serious coin

It's hard to say ...Most of the original players, perhaps ...like it or not, the singer is a huge part of it.
JBJ's voice has never been one of the best, IMO and it certainly isn't getting better, but it's
GOOD, they have a STRONG catalog and as a whole they can still pull 'em in, young and old alike!!
They put on one hell of a show, STILL, oh yes they do!! Going to a BJ show is like stepping back to 1983,
the numbers they pull in are incredible!! They have great rapport w/their fans, their loons
are hardcore, too ...gonna stand by and support them 'til the end, folks!! JBJ is a smart man, great business
sense and surrounds himself w/other very smart people!!

Any other bands from the 80's just goin' through
the motions?!? Let me thiiiiiink ...

Have to agree, I haven't really enjoyed an album of theirs since These Days (ok maybe Crush was somewhat alright too)......but anything from Bounce forward I've thought were weak efforts also. Pains me to say that, as I've been a fan since their first album, long before most everybody else, when they broke with Slippery.

Saw them last summer with Kid Rock as the opening act... And KR BLEW them away... effortlessly! I had never seen KR, and it had been many, many years since I had seen BJ, but I was so impressed by KR's show that I was glad that my expensive ticket wasn't a waste.

That show was the one where Jon injured his calf, by stepping the wrong way, towards the end of the show. He made a comment that he was "getting old, but I'm still good looking!" What a pompous, conceited ass! All the BJ fanboys-girls were congratulating/applauding him about going on with the show despite his injury. Really, people?... It was the last couple of songs and he merely stepped incorrectly and pulled his delicate muscle. He got no sympathy from me.
