New Cold Heart song "Don't Give Up"...

Postby G.I.Jim » Thu May 12, 2011 1:38 am

It was suggested in the other thread that we put a link to I-tunes for people to buy the song. I considered it, but wouldn't feel right charging anything for the song, since it's not a full-band production song. This is just Alex and I, and this version of the song is not mastered. I wrote the song in about 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon in January, and we already had enough songs for our album. We decided to play around with it, and maybe include it as a bonus track or something on our album. We then decided against that, as we have other ideas for the album.

So anyways, you can hear the entire song on our myspace page at www.myspace.com/jimrykbost I hope you like it!

not bad at all. I think a lot has to do with the voice, but there's a pretty strong similarity to Gary Hughes and his band Ten--especially the earlier Ten cds.

Thank you. I definitely wanted to do more with the backing vocals and call-backs in the song, but ran out of time due to Andrew's cd deadline. Maybe now, we'll go back and add a few things to it. I also wanted the vocals to go higher after the solo. Who knows, we'll see.

Soto would sound great doing this song. Not that it isn't fine the way it is, but I could just imagine Jeff doing it very well too.
